Nikon NIKKOR Z 28-400mm f/4-8 VR Reviews

Solid, versatile lensb

Unbelievable performance to be honest. I upgraded from the Nikkor 70-300 f4-5.6 on my Nikon ZF and cannot be more satisfied with the results. Primarily been using it for indoor basketball and outdoor swimming shots of my son and have gotten spectacular details captured even at f8 which I was a little concerned about at first. The weight difference is also a big plus, given I had to use the FTZ II adapter with the 70-300 which added a lot of extra weight (and length) to the already heavier lens.

Great for the price

The copy says when paired with a compatible camera you can get 5.5 stops of VR. Is a Z 50II a compatible camera?
Asked by: John
The Nikon NIKKOR Z 28-400mm f/4-8 VR Lens (B&H# NIZ2840048) offers 5 stops of VR with Nikon Z mount cameras that do not have sensor stabilization, such as the Nikon Z50 II Mirrorless Camera (B&H# NIZ502). It will offer up to 5.5 stops of stabilization with those that do have Nikon's Syncro VR, a feature requiring in-body image (i.e., sensor-based) stabilization.
