Peak Design Everyday 30L V2 Reviews

My lifelong backpack

I have been enjoying Peak Design backpacks since V1 and cannot imagine using any other backpack or gear. It's sleek design, intuitive use, and large space makes this an integral part of my day to day commute for every day use and for long trips. Anytime I have had an issue with the backpack - years of wear and tear - the lifelong warranty has always succeeded in replacing and upgrading my bag. Do i miss the duller, matte finish of my original brown bag, absolutely - but the newer finish feels more modern and I'm growing to love it. I have never let go of my original V1 keychain system as I'm not a bungee cord person.

I’ve been eyeing this backpack for a while and finally bought one, in coyote. I love all the organizations that this bag offers, tried it for a hike even! I knocked off one star because of two things: 1. The laptop compartment is SO TIGHT! Way too tight, I’m barely able to stick an iPad Pro with keyboard case and nothing else. 2. The side pockets are also SO TIGHT!! I had to struggle to stick an 18-oz water bottle in there.

Is this bag approved by the airlines? Fitting under the seat or overhead?
Asked by: Darren W
You will have to check with your airline; however, the standard carry-on size is 22 x 14 x 9". The Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 (Midnight, 30L) is 24.41 x 14.17 x 7.8". So, it may not be taken as a carry-on for most airlines.

I have a 13 in M1 MBP, and have heard that the new M1 laptops have issues with turning on when in the laptop sleeve due to the magnets in the bag (used to keep the shoulder straps attached). Is this really an issue, or will the M1 MacBooks have no problem with the magnets in the back of the bag?
Asked by: Afton
I have not personally heard of these issues, and we pack many with all shapes and sizes of bags. I would fully power off the machine before placing it into the bag however to reduce heat.

Does this backpack stand upright on the floor?
Asked by: Vincent
Yes, the Peak Design Everyday v2 Backpacks (20L and 30L) do stand upright on their own. From testing here at the store, we were able to do it most of the time, but if overpacked and not properly weight-distributed it does take a few attempts.

Will it hold a Canon 90D + 300mm 2.8 II lens from one side, with camera and lens vertically placed?
Asked by: Syed
The Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 30L has interior dimensions of 12.2 x 23.62 x 6.69". Your camera and lens combination would be about 12.75 inches long so the camera and lens would fit vertically but not horizontally.

does it fit z9 with 150-600 lens?
Asked by: Adrian
The Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 (30L, Black) is large enough to fit the Z9 with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR Lens (Nikon Z) attached. Note you will need to take most of the partitions out of the backpack.
