Does this monitor run at 240Hz while running at 4k, and can it do that over the HDMI port, or only the Display Port?

If this is connected to a Mac, would the keyboard shortcuts for brightness work?
The keyboard shortcut for brightness on a Mac will not work with the Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2 Pro 32" 4K HDR 240 Hz OLED Gaming Monitor (Black), B&H # GIAFO32U2PSA; outside of the Apple monitor, as far as we know, BenQ is the only other brand that can support this via an app they have for their monitors, which is called Display Pilot 2.

Is this monitor capable of switching to a 1080p 480Hz mode?

The AORUS FO32U2P is capable of switching to a 1080p resolution however the maximum supported refresh rate will be 240Hz. Hope this helps answer your question!

How good is this monitor for photo and video editing?

The AORUS FO32U2P is great choice for photo and video editing! QD-OLED monitors have the best true to life color reproduction out of all the panel types available to consumers (TN/VA/IPS/OLED). If you work with HDR content, the FO32U2P is also VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified. With the Pro model, you're also able to display both 4K and 8K video without Display Stream Compression.
