I haven't really been able to take full advantage of the lens yet but I'm really pleased with what I've seen so far! It's a solid weight and is sharp!

Image quality is excellent (outstanding) corner to corner. Lightweight but durable, slight extension while zooming out (unlike other zooms), haven't found aberrations yet.
I'm a prime lens user, but using latest generation Sony zooms, I must emphasize that their great!!!

No, the focal length will not display on the EVF or the display monitor, but you can see it on the Sony FE 16-25mm f/2.8 G Lens (Sony E) itself.
