Add piano-like sustain and sostenuto to any instrument or sound with the PLUS Pedal from Gamechanger Audio, a unique tool that samples signals in real time and uses a generative algorithm to create seamless loops of the signal decay. PLUS Pedal lets you add subtle sustain or immersive swells to sounds while retaining exact timbral qualities for a totally natural (or unnatural) sound.
The onboard controls allow you to adjust the sustain properties and length, the Rise and Tail for precise sculpting of fade in and fade out, and Blend for balancing the wet and dry signals. A series FX loop is included for slipping in modulations and other external FX like a glove before the sustain effect, allowing you to create wild and unique movements and textures. Selectable Single or Group sustain modes let you add sustain to single notes and chords or entire lines of notes and chords respectively. And with Wet Only mode, you can flip a switch to remove all dry signal for huge swells of ambient soundscapes.
Use a standard microphone to produce polyphony in real time and create complex voice leading like never before. Real Time Sampling is also responsive to various playing styles. Create continuous layers of sustain incorporating vibrato, bends, harmonics, trills, and other dynamic playing techniques. You can also use your whammy bar, play with a slide, or experiment with amp feedback or noises. The PLUS Pedal will capture all of these tonal nuances and turn them into a continuous sound.
The Sustain knob controls a gradual high-cut filter that is tuned to emulate the natural decay properties of plucked strings. The piano-style foot pedal provides a gradual response curve, letting you add subtlety and nuance to every sustained layer.
- 1/4" instrument input and line output
- FX loop for inserting FX before sustain effect
- Clean Out / FSW offers a dry-only output, useful for studios or creating a stereo amp setup
- Optional Wet Only footswitch can also be plugged into Clean Out / FSW
- Split & Mix: this switch lets you either combine the wet and dry signals at the main output (Mix) or remove the dry signal and only output the wet (Split)
Modulation effects such as chorus, vibrato, or tremolo work perfectly in the FX loop, adding movement and rhythm to the sustained layers. You can also use reverbs, delays, harmonizers, and even distortion units to texturize and morph your sustained notes into something truly extraordinary.
