Panasonic Lumix S 26mm f/8 Reviews
Outrageous
The only official pancake lens for L mount. Better optical quality than any other M or L pancake lenses out there. f/8 + 26mm is a smart choice making it easy to focus. Limitations translate into creativity. I'm having fun using it. But the pros stops here. It is outrageous that they didn't put any distance scale on the lens and it even focuses beyond infinity. It'd be fine if it's a $100 lens but it's not. Fortunately the focus barrel is not that easy to turn by itself so you can find the hyperfocal point and just leave it there for most of the time. I'm using this lens on Sigma FP and Leica CL. The OpTech lens cover works well as a cover.
Fun lens to use on Leica SL2S
I purchased this lens on a whim to use on my Leica SL2S. With the fixed F8 aperture, the only adjustment is focusing. I am used to manually focusing with my Leica M cameras, so lack of auto focus is not a big deal. I have used the lens to take snap shots. Results are good both indoors and outdoors with the high ISO capabilities of the SL2S.
