The specs say 1/4000 mechanical shutter speed but the dial on top shows 1/2000 ?

The instruction manual for the Leica D-Lux 8 Digital Camera does list the maximum shutter speed for mechanical shutter as being 1/4000. The shutter speed can be fine-tuned to shutter speeds that are not listed on the top dial by using the thumbwheel.

I think the 1/4000 that is on the tech spec for the leaf shutter is a typo. The manual states 1/2000 on page 97 which I think is correct. Without the leaf shutter flash doesnt fire, so the x sync they gave in the manual may not be correct either
