Leica D-Lux 8 Reviews
unburdened at last

I spent decades lugging big lenses but I'm free at last. This little marvel does macro, wide angle, portrait, and near telephoto. Bugs, plants, people, landscapes? Check! Birds and wildlife? Maybe not, unless you're really lucky to get close. But you know what? There are plenty of photos of birds on the internet. Who knew!?

So the talking heads are calling it an old Panasonic. Not True! This is the neatest thing since sliced bread. I am a Nikon person but this is something that fits one niche in my life. That is, it is tiny.
It is also well built. Leica style with Leica menus. It's easy to use.
The learning curve was near zero and that's from totally Nikon for thirty years!
Although it is only 17 megapixels, they are good ones. The photos are perfectly workable when imported from its native DNG format.
Hello photoshop and Topaz. I can get a big and sharp photo.
If you buy it, you will love it. Never listen to the talking heads!

You are referring to the Leica's Automatic Lens Cap for the D-Lux which is not included with the camera. This is a great item to get with the D-Lux 8 camera. The item # for this accessory is Leica # 18548, B&H # LELCDL109.
