Teradek CTRL.5 Overview

Facilitate precise lens control with your RT motors and receivers with the Teradek CTRL.5 3-Axis Wireless Lens Controller and its intuitive focus, iris, or zoom control. Multiple forms of communication integrated into the CTRL.5 allow for a wireless range of 5000' with compatible RT devices or 500' via 2.4 or 5 GHz Wi-Fi or Bluetooth 6. Direct connection to a monitor or camera can be achieved using the 5-pin USB and 4-pin AUX ports on the back of the device. The onboard touchscreen and upgraded operating system add to the expanded user interface.
Enhanced Visibility
The 5" touchscreen on the CTRL.5 has a 2000 cd/m² maximum brightness. The menu layout features improved visibility of key data, calculations, integrations, and third-party control.
Customizable Onboard Controls
  • Program the 11 quick-action buttons around the perimeter of the touchscreen to recall settings of your choice. The flexible UI makes for flexible setup.
  • Other onboard controls include a slider, pressure sensitive rocker, record button, adjustable knob with 9-levels of tension, and an additional knob to control speed or a fourth lens axis.
Expandable Optics Library, Camera Control
Thanks to the implementation of CTRL.OS, the CTRL.5 is capable of compiling real-time data from multiple connected devices simultaneously. An expandable optics library allows you to build out lens and filter kits and sync them to a cloud library for easy recall. CTRL.OS builds on the previous SmallHD and Teradek integrations for camera control with RED, ARRI, Sony, and other major brands.
Back Panel Connectivity
Use the 5-pin USB and 4-Pin AUX ports to connect the unit directly to monitors or cameras of your choice. An NP-F/L-series battery plate supports power from compatible sources with 6 to 28V outputs. Multiple 1/4"-20 anti-twist mounting threads can secure the CTRL.5 to your camera rig or director's monitor setup, while neck and hand strap slots offer additional options.
