When shooting at higher focal lengths, POWER O.I.S. image stabilization counteracts image blur resulting from camera shake and helps produce sharper overall images. You have the option of shooting through the glare-resistant 2.36m-dot OLED LVF or with the 3.0" 1.84m-dot TFT LCD monitor, depending upon your situation. Does this shoot RAW?
Asked by: Shelley
It shoots RAW but the image quality is soft & crappy. You really need to do a lot of work on the files. Shoot RAW with jpg so you'll have a fairly usable file fast.

How well does it do in the evening or dark shade at ISO 3200? Noise?
Asked by: Michael
Hello Mike! The DC-FZ80D would have an 1/2.3 MOS image sensor, since it is a smaller sensor there might be some noticeable noise at ISO 3200. Using a lower ISO with careful exposure and a lower shutter speed is advised for better performance in these conditions, especially if you are using a tripod. - S

Does it have Macro setting?

Does it have Macro setting?
Asked by: Roy
Though your specific question has been answered, it might be of interest to note that the Lumix FZ80D produces almost-macro magnification at a distance of 5 feet. Fully zoomed to the tele end (1200mm) and focused as close as possible (around 5 feet), the magnification is 0.5x (Full Frame-equivalent) for a field of view about the size of a business card and suitable for many usual "macro" subjects such as flowers and butterflies.
