I absolutely love this product. I use it with a C300 MkIII on a Shape shoulder mount and top handle. It’s super sharp and the preset buttons are very intuitive. The waveform is a decent size and peaking is adjustable. It’s very rugged and the build quality on the viewfinder and cord is exceptional. I bought with the Mid49 Twist mount EVF kit which I also recommend for a top handle that takes a rod mount. Everything is clean and simple and so far works like a charm.
Almost great

There's a lot to love about this Kinefinity viewfinder: Compact and lightweight, easy to use & intuitive menu, and a host of nice features to aid exposure control and focus. To top it all, the image is beautiful and seem very accurate. However, two major drawbacks make it fall slightly behind the Zacuto Kameleon. First, the screen size: It's noticeably smaller than the Kameleon. With the smaller size, it's harder to be immersed in the image and see every tiny detail. It makes framing and focus monitoring less intuitive, and It makes the viewing experience more challenging and less rewarding. The other frustrating issue is the mount. It can only be rigged a certain way and offers almost no adjustments. The built in rosette attachment had a deep grove in it (to accommodate the Kinefinity quick release mechanism), and so if you try to connect it to a Zacuto mini axis you don't get a very secure attachment. It's a shame those couple of issues prevent the Eagle from being the stellar product it can be.

Do the listed frame rates "ranging from 23.97 to 60 fps" mean that it won't work if you're filming at 120fps?

The Kinefinity EAGLE SDI e-Viewfinder (Black) will not be able to preview 120p content through the EVF. However, you will typically be able to tell the camera you are working with to output 120p recordings at 60p in your camera menu.

Yes, there is a recording light on the top of the Kinefinity EAGLE SDI e-Viewfinder as well as a tally light that looks like the Kinefinity logo on the front of the viewfinder. You can see an image of both lights here: https://bhpho.to/4eBuxxR.

Is this compatible with the Red Komodo (OG)?
Asked by: Douglas
The Kinefinity EAGLE SDI e-Viewfinder Kit (Black) could be used with the RED DIGITAL CINEMA KOMODO by connecting to the SDI output on the KOMODO. Please note that the max resolution compatible with the Kinefinity is 1080p60, so the monitor output on the camera would need to be set to that resolution at most.
