The brown DPA 2061 is a miniature, dust- and moisture-resistant lavalier microphone designed for use with wireless bodypack transmitters for broadcast, performance, and theatrical applications. The electret-condenser capsule can handle loud vocalists, speakers, and performers at levels up to 137 dB SPL and delivers crisp, clear, and intelligible audio with very low noise. The microphone's miniature size makes it easy to conceal in clothing, costumes, and hair—or even attached directly to the performer's skin.
Hardwired LEMO 3-Pin Connector
Compatible Wireless Transmitters
- This version of the 2061 works with Lectrosonics transmitters equipped with a LEMO 3-pin connector, including the SSM and the DBu.
- The connector also supports the Sennheiser SK Series, Trantec SD7300 and SD7000, and Wisycom MTP.
A Reliable, Broadcast-Quality Lavalier
Clear, Consistent Speech and Vocals
- The 2061 features a 5.5mm electret-condenser capsule optimized to pick up all the details of the voice naturally and deliver clear, broadcast-quality speech and vocals for performances and events. The mic can handle peak SPLs of 128 dB with 1% distortion and 137 dB with 10% distortion, so you can use it on loud vocalists with confidence.
- Unlike other DPA mics, the 2061 doesn't use frequency caps to change the sonic profile; instead the mic features a very linear effective frequency range from 50 Hz to 16 kHz (±3 dB), with a built-in +3 dB soft boost in the 8 to 16 kHz range for added presence and clarity.
- The forgiving omnidirectional pickup pattern captures sound from all around the mic and provides a consistent frequency response, even for off-axis sound. This helps to supply clear, intelligible speech and vocals, even when the subject turns away from the microphone.
Tough, Moisture-Resistant Construction
- The 2061 features a robust mechanical design and is certified IP57 for dust and moisture resistance, great for repelling sweat from enthusiastic talent.
- The rugged 4.9' cable is reinforced with Kevlar and features strain relief at both ends to survive everyday use in tough conditions.
- The non-modular design with a fixed cap and hardwired transmitter connector offers additional resiliency.
- This version of the 2061 does not include any accessories; DPA offers a wide variety of separately available mic mounts and windscreens to get the most out of your lavalier.
