Matthews 169028T Overview

Cutters are square or rectangular frames with mounting pins attached. Used to control natural or artificial light. Can be used to protect the camera lens from flares, control spill light from other sources, or keep light from reaching an area on the set.

Floppies are Cutters which have an extra layer of material sewn to one edge and held in place with Touch Fastener until needed at which time the Cutter becomes twice its original size

Newly designed 90° Cutter frames will make it possible to position the instrument over the top of the set wall or to use two or more units to create a box for better light control.

4x4 floppies are one of the best investments to make as you build out a lighting kit. The amount of depth you can bring to a an image with just this one negative fill is amazing and this is a perfect size to get what you need.

Take your image creating to the next level, minus light ..... add some contrast in your images, flag off some light, pin some black fabric on the sides for a monitor for the client or location work station. Every shooter need at least 4 of these.

It's Matthew's, one of the best names in the business. Well made and does exactly what it is supposed to. Picked up two of these to use for television interviews to block the spill from the Key and Fill lights. Very happy with the purchase.

These frames are made of 3/8" stainless steel tubing with a 3/8" solid stainless steel rod mounting pin.
