The filter features a fast and threadless magnetic mount system, and its thin profile allows for filter stacking with other IRIX filters. This circular polarizer increases the transparency of the water and glass, saturates the sky with a deep blue color, and gets rid of reflections on shiny surfaces. The smooth adjustment of the polarization degree is made possible by rotating the filter on the magnetic mount.
This IRIX Edge MMS ND SR Magnetic Filter provides a 4-stop exposure reduction. Its 1.2 optical density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed without overexposing your image. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can control depth of field and convey movement more easily.
