I have both, besides of what Rob said...16-55 AF is faster in good or low light. Also, while 16-55 is heavier, its still very confortable to use all day.

Will the FUJIFILM XF 16-55mm f2.8 R LM WR II ever be paired with the X-T5 as an alternative to the current f/2.8-4.8 kit lens?

We believe that in the future the FUJIFILM XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR II Lens will be sold as a kit with the Fuji XT5, but we cannot guarantee a time frame, unfortunately.
