Fujifilm FP-100C reviews

FP-100C Professional Instant Color Film ISO 100 (10 Exposure, Glossy) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 466.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for people new to emulsion lift I used this for an alternative process class I taught since the Polaroid 669 is no longer readily available. Having not used it before there was some trial and error particularly with the dry transfer method. Seemed to work best using it in subdued light and having a moistened squeeged paper ready to roll it on. Emulsion lifts are not as malleable which can be a pro and a con - much easier to use, but not as easily to manipulate, tear for artistic effect. Also, you need to use a glue in conjunction with it. It will not stick on its own. Glad there is still a film produced to experiment with these processes, but like 669 better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great film! Some time ago I found a polaroid land camera (100 series) and since it was only a few bucks, I wasn't worried if I'd ever be able to use it. Like many people, I thought I wouldn't be able to find film for it. I was wrong, of course, because this film works perfectly. This film, when exposed and developed properly, looks wonderful. Instant film has always provided that feeling of instant gratification that digital photography does not. Might I also suggest the 3000B B&W film, since having the 100C film doesn't work well in low light (the numbers directly correspond to ISO rating, so the higher the number, the better it will work in low light).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the trick I bought this to use with a polaroid back for a Bronica GS-1 system. The product worked fine, once I figured out how to use it. Turns out that on a Bronica you have to turn on the multiple exposure mode to be able to take a picture with the polaroid back. Go figure. In any case, the first picture was white (100% chance of user error) and the second picture worked like a charm. What I liked was the color balance. Very nice daylight tones that I have a hard time achieving whenever I play with digital. Timing the exposures and peeling off the sheet, etc., worked as it should. It's a fun product if you want to show young people a classic of yesturyear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a very good (soon the ONLY) alternative I mostly shoot in black and white, and this is a decent switch for me. Ive mainly used these for the Polaroid Land 100/250/350 cameras, and the photos coming out are very vivid. Provided youre outdoors during the day, or have a very bright indoor lighting. As the alternative to Polaroids own line, it's a great replacement. Dries fast, and much cheaper than the polaroid brand. By early 2009, it will be the ONLY alternative, as polaroid announced they wont be making any more pack films next year. SO STOCK UP! (they do expire though...)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Polaroid? Really? I love this stuff. Seriously. I do not process colour film myself, so there is usually a time-lag between my shooting large format colour and actually getting a chance to see the results.FP-100C gives me my instant gratification and much more. With a Fuli holder I shoot this in my 4x5 camera and after a few experiments have gotten to admire not only the quick results but the Fuji depth of tone and richness of colour. The affordability of this small size allows me to shoot without fear of ruining an expensive 4x5 sheet. I thought this would be a fun film to try, but it has gotten to be a new direction in colour shoots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly magical film In today's digital society of instant gratification and instant results shooting real film is hard. You have to process it and print them and the workflow is long. I have done darkroom work for a while now and it is quite a lot of work. FP-100C is magical. It does everything I do in the darkroom in MINUTES to produce real film prints. The color emulsion is absolutely stunning especially with portraits. I use them on a medium format Polaroid back and the results are just unbelievable. I hope this film never dies. Keep in mind that it is quite contrasty so set exposure carefully. Get away from your screens, iPhones, and and hold a beautiful Fuji polaroid in your hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish they were continuing to make this ... Everyone knows that this is the best Polaroid film ever made for this series of cameras. I 'm giving the five stars because not only is it the best film, but B&H deserves kudos for actually shipping me the goods at the price I bought them for. The story is that I bought 10 of these at under twenty dollars each ($18.99) and then the price went up $10, like, the next day. My purchase went on back order for a couple months, but when B&H got the new shipment in, they sent me what I ordered at the price I ordered it at, even though I'm guessing they lost money on the deal. Nobody called to beg me to cancel or anything, they just shipped it. yay, B&H

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE DAY INSTANT FILM DIED A long, long time ago I can still remember how Louis's camera used to make me smile And I knew if I had my chance That I could make those people dance And maybe they'd be happy for a while But February made me shiver With every paper I'd deliver Bad news on the doorstep I couldn't take one more step I can't remember if I cried When I read about Fuji's discontinuation But something touched me deep inside The day instant peel-apart died So bye, bye, Miss Peel-Apart Film Drove my VW to BnH but BnH was dry And them good ole boys were drinking coffee 'n rye Singin' this'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die Did you write the book of love And do you have faith in God above If the Bible tells you so? Now do you believe in rock and roll? Can Polaroid save your mortal soul? And can you teach me how to dance real slow? Well, I know that you're in love with INSTAX 'Cause I saw you dancin' in the gym You both kicked off your shoes Man, I dig those rhythm and blues I was a lonely teenage broncin' buck With a pink carnation and a pickup truck But I knew I was out of luck The day instant film died I started singing bye, bye, Miss Peel-Apart Pie Drove my VW to BnH but BnH was dry Them good ole boys were drinking coffee 'n rye Singin' this'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die
