The Leica Noctilux-M 50mm f/1.2 ASPH. Lens (Glossy Black) is not a limited-edition lens. However, the production of the lens is slow because of the procedure used by Leica in such a high-end lens.

How much does 50mm f/1.2 lens weigh?

How much does 50mm f/1.2 lens weigh?
Asked by: Thomas
That information has yet to be released by Leica. However, we do have a shipping weight of 5lbs. (2.27 kg) for the box with the lens in it. For the purpose of comparison, the Leica Noctilux-M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH Lens (Black) BH #LE50095NB weighs 1.5lbs. (700g). We would typically expect a f/1.2 lens to weigh less than a f/0.95 lens, so a good guess might be around 1.1 lbs. or about 500g. We'll update the specifications as more information becomes available.
