Density
Keep your key elements pinned upfront in the mix. This surgical upward compressor effortlessly smooths out dynamics, giving your audio more presence, detail, and fullness.
Phase
Phase analyzes asymmetry within a single signal and identifies phase issues with other tracks in seconds, offering tools and visualizations to fine-tune as you need.
Mix Assistant
Run the AI-powered Assistant to create a custom signal chain for your audio, then refine your sound with professional instrument profiles (or your own references) and easy macro controls.
Transient/Sustain mode
Apply module processing to either transient or sustained content. For example, add power to your bass plucks without touching any drawn-out notes with Clipper.
Mid/Side mode
Apply module processing to either the middle or sides of the stereo field. For example, apply the Transient Shaper to only the sides of your drum bus for hits that pulse into the wide parts of your stereo image.
iZotope VocalSynth 2 Vocal Resynthesis and Harmony Generation Software (Download)

Featuring a complete graphical redesign and a whole new voice-modeling module, iZotope VocalSynth 2 is a tool designed to transform an input signal—usually a vocal—into a creative, synthetic sound. An instance of this plug-in provides access to five separate vocal engines. You get the four modules from the original Vocalsynth (Vocoder, Talkbox, Polyvox, & Compuvox), and a whole new one called Biovox.

Biovox utilizes scientific modeling of the human vocal tract, allowing you to change aspects like formants, vowel shapes, and nasality in a smooth manner. Use Biovox for subtly-changed vocal doubles when you've only got a single vocal track, or utilize this module as an eccentric sound-design tool.

The effects section has been updated to provide better sound quality, and two new stompbox-style modules have been added to the mix: Chorus and Ring Mod, the latter also serving as an idiosyncratic tremolo effect. As with the previous version of VocalSynth, you can use the plug-in in various modes, including Auto Mode (requiring no MIDI or sidechaining), MIDI Mode (imparting the consonants, formants, and vowels of a sidechain inpun upon the MIDI synth); and Sidechain Mode (applying the quality of the vocal to an audio source, say a guitar for example).

This plug-in also allows for inter-communication between iZotope plug-ins, meaning you can seamlessly integrate VocalSynth 2 with Neutron 2, Ozone 8, and Tonal Balance Control. VocalSynth 2 can be seen and manipulated within Neutron 2's Visual Mixer and Masking Meter as well. This software is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms, and supports AU, VST, and AAX formats.

5 Vocal Processing Engines
VocalSynth 2 provides separate engines for Vocoder, Talkbox, Polyvox, Compuvox, and now Biovox. Use any of these to emulate the tones of classic records or to achieve something truly new.
Stompbox Style Effects
VocalSynth 2's effects include two brand new pedal-style effects: Chorus and Ring Mod with a tremolo effect. Now drag to re-order all seven effects including an improved Shred with sequencer as well as Distort, Filter, Transform, and Delay.
3 Modes
VocalSynth 2 is built to be flexible, giving you three ways to interact and create: Auto Mode, MIDI Mode, and Sidechain Mode.
Inter-Plugin Communication
Use VocalSynth 2 within Neutron 2's Visual Mixer and Masking Meter, as well as Tonal Balance Control for a bird's eye view of your music production at all times.
Improvements Over Original
Improvements have been made to the Vocoder module, as well as Talkbox, Polyvox, and Compuvox. These improve usability, CPU utilization, and sound quality.
iZotope Neoverb Intelligent Reverb Software (Download)

Quit wasting hours trying to blend your reverb correctly in the mix; instead, download iZotope's Neoverb, and hear the right reverb in seconds, thanks to its AI-powered technology. The Reverb Assistant customizes the verb to your particular needs. No matter the sound source, Neoverb can listen to it, analyze it, and create the perfect reverberation setting in response.

Neoverb is a rare piece of software that is equally useful to beginners and professionals. For the beginner, tweaking a reverb to blend correctly is difficult and time-consuming, but Neoverb accomplishes this feat quickly. The Reverb Assistant also shows you how it generated settings through its intuitive interface, teaching you about reverb in the process. The professional engineer, on the other hand, is often working against deadlines. Neoverb cuts down on the time it takes to select and tweak the right plug-ins, helping you achieve the sound you want with greater speed.

Built-In Reverb Assistant
Press the prominent Reverb Assistant button, and you'll automatically have a leg up on the sound: this button opens a window that allows you to simply suggest some governing parameters. You can guide the assistant to give you something realistic, or something dramatic; something dark or something bright; something small, like a room, or large, like a cathedral. Play audio, and the assistant listens to it, EQs it to minimize clash and conflict, and gives you back a sterling reverb in accordance with the settings you chose up top.
Advanced Features for Those Who Need It
Under the hood, Neoverb utilizes three discrete reverb engines to give you a result with exceptional depth. Not only can you blend these three reverb tanks however you wish—you can also access advanced controls for each reverb engine, tweaking Attack, Crossover, Damping, and other parameters to your fancy. Sync Pre-Delay to your track's tempo, or have it stand out for greater emphatic control in the mix.
Blend Pad for Reverb Engines
The Blend pad allows you to fine-tune the blend of Neoverb's three reverb engines by ear, giving you an easy to way to create a unique verb effect in a short amount of time. The Blend Pad is also automatable, so you can jump among different blends of reverb for creative effects, or for transitions in your song.
Multiple Options for Blending Reverb with Dry Signal
Neoverb's I/O (input/output) panel gives you multiple ways to blend your reverb with your original signal. You can soften the transients of any audio entering Neoverb using the Smooth control, which will keep sudden percussive hits from disrupting your reverb. This is in addition to the Dry/Wet control and Level slider, which offer the conventional methods for blending reverb.
Automatic Tonal Control
Neoverb can tweak the tone coming and going: it'll tweak the input EQ, to make sure the sound is perfectly calibrated for the reverb on the way in. It can also tweak the reverb EQ, to make sure the results don't get in the way of the original signal. All of these things can be done automatically.

Complete Tonal Control
The Input and Reverb EQ panels can also be tweaked by hand, which is a boon for the professional mixing engineer. Furthermore, Neoverb offers a Masking Meter to stop muddy mixes before they happen. This meter communicates with other iZotope plug-ins via Inter-Plugin Communication, and shows you, in clear terms, how your reverb is muddying up other tracks. This helps you prevent your vocal reverb from disrupting your drums, for instance.
Extensive Modulation Control
Add animation to your reverb with the Mod pad, which sports two modes for both subtle and creative reverb modulation. Keep the Mod on low settings to make longer reverb tails feel more natural, or increase the setting (up to 125%) for more intense creative effects.

iZotope Stutter Edit 2 Creative Mixing and Sound Design Software (Download)

Available for download, iZotope's Stutter Edit 2 is a creative mixing and sound design tool that can accomplish anything from glitchy stacatto sound manipulations to esoteric phase-distortion effects and more. Use this tool in fashioning electronic music, in creating strange soundbed tapestries for viewable media, or to process individual elements of a mix in ideosyncratic ways. With a MIDI mode that allows you to play presets with your compatible MIDI controller, Stutter Edit 2 can also be performed in a manner similar to a virtual instrument.

For a plug-in chockfull of complicated effects, the GUI is relatively simple to understand. At the top of the window your global effects are layed out, where you can implement all the glitchy, stuttering effects the original Stutter Edit was famous for and more. Below these processors is a list of other individuated effects, such as Phaser, Flanger, Delay, Reverb, and other processing options. The effects can be reordered in nearly any series configuration you wich, and selecting each effect tabs a window of parameters that you can change.

This is where the fun begins: Corresponding to each parameter is a Curve Editor, which allows you to draw in and program the exact timing of a paramter as it progresses or cycles from its minimum to maximum values. Create phasers that modulate faster over time, distortions that get less crunchy as the effect goes on. Nearly every parameter into the plug-in can be manipulated with the Curve Editor.

This is a mammoth plug-in to understand for sure. But to get you started, iZotope has included a variety of preset banks and gestures. Some of them have been designed by the famous music producer BT.

This plug-in is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms. It will operate in AU, VST2, VST3, and AAX platforms.

Auto Mode and MIDI Setup
Stutter Edit 2 is a playable effect. It must be triggered in order to do anything to your audio. You can trigger gestures instantly with the new Auto mode, which lets you trigger your gestures with one button. You can also use a MIDI keyboard to tell Stutter Edit 2 when to trigger, letting you perform your effects like an instrument.

Auto mode is great for quickly auditioning gestures or for when you need a little instant gratification in your mix. Using MIDI mode lets you control Stutter Edit 2 with a MIDI keyboard. Setup is a breeze, with a built-in help screen that detects your DAW and gives step-by-step instructions

Gestures and Banks
Stutter Edit 2 includes hundreds of new Gestures (presets) designed by BT and iZotope. When a gesture is triggered, you can turn your audio into a short rhythmic idea, or a drawn out, evolving soundscape. Gestures come in Banks, which map automatically to your MIDI keyboard, so you can trigger different gestures at will. Before diving into Stutter Edit 2's controls, be sure to explore the different Gestures. Even the most basic Banks can totally change your audio.
Stutter and Buffer FX
At the heart of Stutter Edit 2 are the Stutter and Buffer controls, letting you blur the lines between melody, rhythm, and sound. Stutter Edit 2 cuts or buffers your audio into razor-sharp slices and plays them back at different speeds. Set a slower stutter for funkier grooves, or create edits so fast that they turn into pitch. Set a Range and make the edits speed up, slow down, or both at once.

Stutter controls how many slices of your audio play back with your gesture and how fast they are. Buffer controls what sections of your audio Stutter Edit 2 stores and plays back. Deep customization options let you control Rate, Quantization, and more, to keep your edits in time with your session.

Time Variant Modifiers
Set a Range for any effect in Stutter Edit 2 to make it morph and change in time with your gesture. Time-Variant Modifiers can be added to any parameter to control how and where within the range the effect plays back. Customize these modifiers with the Curve Editor to create ideosyncratic moving effects. Not sure what curve to use? Just select from one of 12 premade curves and start experimenting.
New FX over Version 1
New to Stutter Edit are output limiter, distortion, chorus, reverb, comb filter, flanger, phaser, delay, reverb, and tape stop effects. The lo-fi processors have been greatly improved as well, giving blistering bitcrushing and undersampling effects, key to creating the famous glitch sound.
iZotope Audiolens Reference and Comparison Software (Download)

Audiolens will automatically populate saved referenced targets to your Ozone 10 Target Library, so you can visualize how your master stacks up to your chosen reference. Run the AI-powered Master Assistant to match the tone, dynamics, and width profiles of the desired track to your own master, and dial in additional adjustments using the Assistant View.
Use with Neutron 4 - Intelligent Mixing, Faster
Audiolens will automatically populate saved reference targets to your Neutron 4 Target Library where they will be analyzed by Neutron's Assistant. You can then quickly match characteristics within the mix of your own track, whether that's adding some thump to your bass, crisping up your snare, or making hi-hats sizzle. Further customize your sound by using the Assistant View to dial in your mix elements.
About Referencing
Producers and engineers use track referencing during music production, mixing, and mastering. Referencing is the process of comparing the dynamic range and character of your song to songs of a similar genre and style to your desired sound. A reference track's dynamic range and sonic character can be used to communicate the sound you're aiming for in your mix or master. Reference tracks are also a way to develop musical vocabulary that will help communication when you're working on a song with other people.

iZotope RX 11 Advanced Audio Restoration and Enhancement Software

Audio engineers and video editors in need of a complete audio restoration tool set will be impressed with iZotope RX 11 Advanced, the latest update to their audio repair software, which is considered a staple within the recording, mastering, audio-for-video, and postproduction communities. The software can operate either as a standalone application or a plug-in for both Mac- and Windows-based DAWs and NLEs. From fixing common audio problems like noises, distortions, and inconsistent recordings, to repairing severely damaged audio using Spectral Repair, the software can transform previously unusable audio into something usable.

The advanced edition of RX 11 features new state-of-the-art neural networks that supercharge the machine-learning algorithms, enabling real-time, low-latency processing for Dialogue Isolate, the highest quality stem separation for Music Rebalance, and improved intelligence and speed for Repair Assistant. iZotope also added an industry-first Loudness Optimize tool alongside the new Streaming Preview, so you can release tracks in confidence—major upgrades to their Audio Random Access (ARA) processing for a seamless workflow. All previous modules are in place for RX 11 including multichannel support, high-quality resampling, dithering, and the rest of RX's classic features. As always, RX 11 can be used as a standalone audio editor (including standalone but connected to your host via RX Connect, or as your DAW's audio editor in the case of Logic Pro), although much of it can be used as a suite of plug-ins in any DAW.

What's New?
  • New and Improved Dialogue Isolate: iZotope overhauled Dialogue Isolate, adding in Dialogue De-reverb and state-of-the art machine learning that enables lightning-fast (real time) processing. Now you can de-noise dialog or vocals and control reverb in one easy-to-use module (also available as part of RX 11 Standard for the first time). The Advanced version includes a brand-new high-quality offline processing mode with multiband processing.
  • New Streaming Preview: There’s no worse feeling than putting heaps of time into a track only to be disappointed with how it sounds on streaming services—so here comes Streaming Preview. Now you can hear your tracks the way the rest of the world hear them and release with confidence.
  • New Loudness Optimize—Tracks still sounding quiet at maximum loudness? Analyze any opportunity for improvement with the smart Learn function, and automatically adjust your tracks with Loudness Optimize. Just export your new master, and you’re ready for release.
  • Improved Music Rebalance: Easily reanimate an existing mix, prep for a remix, or create instrumentals and vocal stems with Music Rebalance. Shape your sound with laser focus thanks to Music Rebalance’s improved stem separation, featuring upgraded machine-learning based on the most modern neural network available. (Included in Standard and Advanced.)

  • New Mid/Side Mode: Visualize and process your stereo image with new Mid/Side mode in RX’s main window.
  • New Audio Devices Refresh: Refresh audio devices in preferences without having to quit and restart RX.
Advanced Features
Dialogue Isolate
Dialogue Isolate is even more powerful in RX. The module features improved Ambience Preservation, leaving more natural sounding dialog—even when noise reduction is pushed to drastic levels—to make sure your audience hears every word of your dialogue.

It is designed to separate spoken dialog from nonstationary background noise such as crowds, traffic, footsteps, weather, or other noise with highly variable characteristics. It can be particularly effective at increasing the level of dialog in challenging low-signal-to-noise-ratio conditions.

There are two Quality settings:

  • Good: for faster high-quality processing that is optimized for speed over separation
  • Best: for higher quality processing with fewer artifacts and better isolation at the cost of a longer processing time

You can also use the legacy Dialogue Isolate algorithm from before version 9. Choose this in the settings.

De-hum
Dynamic mode in De-hum instantly removes any amount of hum, wireless ring, or interference, without artifacts or affecting the audio quality. In one pass, eliminate radio and transmitter interference, camera and generator hum, and more.

In Static mode, you can target hum with a fundamental tone and the 16 harmonic bands above it. In Dynamic mode, RX can learn and remove any amount of hum with up to 1024 dynamically variable notch filters.

Ambient Match
Ambience Match lets you match the noise floor of one recording to another recording. Fill in consistent beds of ambience under constructed sentences and ADR lines from within Pro Tools AudioSuite. No more spending hours of time manually looping sections of ambient sound under a scene with ADR and broken up sentences.

Seamlessly connect dialog and ADR cuts with real background movement and textures with Complex mode, allowing you to quickly match ambiences never before possible: ocean, wind, traffic, crowds, and more. Or, use Static mode to match stationary ambiences like a quiet room with a soft hum.

Restore Collection
Roll back an audio selection to any previous step in your History list to get the best combination of audio processing from any point in time with the brand-new Restore Selection feature.

When hovering your cursor over an item in the History list with a selection made in the spectrogram, an icon appears in line with the text. Clicking this icon will restore your selection to that point in its history. This is the same as going back to that point in undo history, except for your current selection.

Spectral Editor in Logic Pro
Spectral Editor allows Logic Pro users to put some of the most powerful iZotope processing and visualization to work without having to toggle between Logic and the RX Audio Editor. It combines RX Spectral Repair, RX's spectrogram, and RX interactive tools that enable engineers and producers to identify and eliminate unwanted noises in Logic.
Spectral Recovery
With the increasing necessity of remote meetings, podcast interviews, and video calls, real-time audio streaming is becoming more and more prevalent. Unfortunately, audio transfer protocols over the internet compress the audio and remove high-end frequencies that aid in clarity and intelligibility. Spectral Recovery restores frequencies above 4 kHz, turning grainy dialog audio into clear articulate recordings.
Wow and Flutter
Physical audio recordings such as magnetic tape and vinyl discs inevitably fall prey to the elements as time goes by. This often results in pitch fluctuations in those physical recordings. Wow and Flutter is designed to correct pitch issues regardless of the intensity. Use Wow to fix longer sustained pitch drift, and use Flutter to correct pitch variances that occur at faster rates.
Guitar De-Noise
Guitar De-noise lets you refine your guitar recordings for maximum clarity. Manage sounds unintentionally emphasized by the effects of compression or limiting, like electrical amp noise and interference, distracting fret or string squeaks, and harsh pick attacks. With intuitive sliders for sensitivity and gain reduction, polishing guitar performances for intelligibility and authenticity is now relatively easy and transparent.
Loudness Control
Prepare your recordings for final delivery with the detailed level readings and loudness-management power of the Loudness Control module. Load preset loudness-standard targets to ensure your audio conforms to broadcast requirements, and monitor your levels using the built-in numeric and histogram readouts for integrated, short-term, and momentary loudness. Resize the module to fit your display perfectly and suit your unique workflow.
Improved Batch Processor
Process several audio files in one pass with the newly overhauled Batch Processor. View pertinent metadata in your audio files prior to processing, then apply a full series of processors with the Module Chain, now accessible from within the Batch Processor interface. Export your files in multiple file formats and bit depths for optimal efficiency and organization. This tool is ideal for refining hundreds of samples for custom-made sample libraries.
Variable Time
Adjust the time-stretch amount of an audio selection without altering its pitch.
Variable Pitch
Adjust the pitch of an audio selection while preserving the time and length.
Improved Music Rebalance
Identify vocals, bass, percussion, and other instruments in a mix, and adjust the gain for each element. Isolate or remove elements, or split stems for tweaking in your DAW. The results sound more transparent over the previous version, nulling to a far greater degree.
Multichannel Support
Tackle audio issues that appear in any or every surround channel up to Dolby Atmos (7.1.2).
Dialogue Contour
Using this module, you can reshape the intonation of dialog to rescue or improve a performance in postproduction. The module utilizes pitch-correction processing tailored to speech and designed to adjust inflection, allowing you to match phrases of dialog that would not otherwise gel.
De-rustle
The De-rustle module removes the noise or rustle generated when a lavalier microphone rubs or brushes against a person's clothing during a recording. Lav rustle can vary unpredictably over time, exhibiting a wide variety of sonic characteristics in the process (high-frequency crackling and low-frequency thuds); this module significantly ameliorates the problem.
Dialogue De-reverb
Reduce and remove unwanted reverb from dialogue clips using this algorithm trained with machine learning, optimized to separate spoken dialogue from reverberant signal content. You can use this as one more tool in the arsenal before resorting to ADR.
De-wind
This module allows you to reduce and remove distracting wind noise from audio, addressing primarily the low-frequency rumble that occurs when intermittent bursts of wind come into contact with a microphone diaphragm.
Dialogue Isolate
The Dialogue Isolate module is designed to separate spoken dialogue from nonstationary background noise such as crowds, traffic, footsteps, weather, and more. It is suitable for increasing the level of dialogue in challenging low signal-to-noise ratio conditions.
De-ess
The De-ess audio plug-in and module in iZotope RX attenuates or reduces sibilance—the harsh high-frequency sounds that come from spoken S, F, X, SH, and soft-C sounds. Two modes for handling sibilance are provided—Classic Mode detects sibilants and attenuates them with a broadband gain envelope. Spectral Mode is more transparent, intelligent, and frequency-specific than Classic Mode. Spectral Mode only attenuates the high frequencies where sibilance is most active, leaving the lower frequencies untouched.
Mouth De-click
The Mouth De-click module has been finely tuned to detect and reduce mouth noises such as clicks and lip smacks—many listeners' worst nightmare. It's designed for use on longer audio selections, but it can be used to remove individual clicks.
Breath Control
The Breath Control module intelligently detects breath noise in dialogue or vocal recordings and suppresses them. Removing and reducing breath noise in recordings can be a time-consuming process for dialogue editors and music producers alike. Breath Control can help reduce the time spent on repetitive editing without sacrificing audio quality.

iZotope Insight 2 Metering and Audio Analysis Plug-In for Music and Postproduction (Download)

Available for download, iZotope Insight 2 is an update to their renowned metering software and comprises a set of tools designed for post-production and broadcast applications. Insight 2 provides an extensive set of audio analysis and metering tools that can help you visualize the changes made during mixing and mastering. These meters can be essential for troubleshooting problematic mixes, as well as ensuring compliance with broadcast loudness standards.

Fully customizable and scalable, Insight 2 allows you to visually monitor all the relevant information from your mono, stereo, or multichannel mix in a convenient floating window. This window has been redesigned and updated to provide a sleek look more in concert with iZotope's current design scheme. Also, the GUI is now resizable: it can encompass a full screen or just one tiny meter floating in the corner of your DAW. Thus, the metering can be adapted to suit your workflow as it changes.

Insight 2 visually guides you throughout the mixing process, empowering you to look deeper into your audio with intelligent analysis tools and real-time monitoring capabilities. Loudness meters are clearly visible with color-coded readouts for short-term, momentary, and integrated values. Multichannel RMS metering is on hand, as is sound-field monitoring, a loudness history graph, a spectrum analyzer (for frequency content), a customizable spectrogram, and a new addition to the family: the Intelligibility Meter.

This tool works in conjunction with iZotope's new Relay module to help you see, at a glance, whether or not dialogue is intelligible over the rest of the mix. Simply put Relay on your mix, and track the results in the meter. With an easy-to-read scale, you will discover if your dialogue's intelligibility will translate to other listening environments. You can even choose listening environments to check if the dialogue will read well over moderately noisy or severely noisy confines.

The included Relay module facilitates intercommunication with compatible iZotope products as well as the ability to monitor the output of audio affected by third-party plug-ins; the latter function is accomplished by instantiating Relay as the last plug-in in your chain. The module itself has multiple useful features, including delay offset, phase invert, sum-to-mono, L/R swap, and high-pass filtering.

Fully compliant with EBU R128, ITU-R BS.1770-1/2/3/4, ATSC A/85, OP-59, and other current standards, Insight 2 provides the tools you need to be confident that your audio meets regulations. It is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms, and operates in AU, AAX, AAX-AS, RTAS, DPM-AS, VST2, and VST3.

Updated Look and Feel
Insight 2 has an updated design that matches the rest of the iZotope family. Important metering targets have been emphasized to make the metering suite easier to read at a glance.
Resizable
Now you can easily resize individual meters in the main window by clicking and dragging between two meter frames. Also, the main window can be resized to be as small as the smallest meter, or to take up the whole screen.
Customize Your Layout
Insight 2 is customizable and flexible to suit your workflow. Select one of the many Layouts designed for specific music and postproduction settings.
Intelligibility Meter
This meter provides guidance on whether dialogue is likely to be overshadowed by the loudness of the rest of your mix. Using iZotope Relay or other compatible plug-ins, Insight 2 takes information from your dialogue track and gives you recommendations on where your dialogue should be when compared to the rest of the elements. Select among different target listening environments that range from low to high noise. This will help you check how your dialogue will translate to different listeners in different spaces.

Vintage Modules
  • Vintage Tape: The Vintage Tape module is inspired by a well-maintained Studer A810 two-track tape deck, a clean and accurate machine perfect for mastering. Add the frequency response (magnitude plus phase) and saturation characteristics of magnetic tape without the crosstalk, hiss, wow, and flutter that could ruin a master. Introduce rich saturation with all the frequency coloration, distortion, and phase effects of tape.
  • Vintage Compressor: The Vintage Compressor is an emulation of a feedback compressor with a detection filter in the feedback loop. The Vintage Compressor includes a versatile detection filter in the feedback loop that filters the signal passed into the level detector to change which components of the signal are triggering the compressor. Some compressors use a highpass filter or a high shelf boost to reduce pumping. Others have a wide boost in the high frequencies to let high frequency content drive the compressor. The Vintage Compressor in Ozone includes all of these filters. We combined some of the best elements of vintage analog compressors to create this feedback compressor algorithm.
  • Vintage Limiter: The Vintage Limiter, modeled after the Fairchild 670, allows you to create a louder and fuller master by limiting the dynamic range and boosting the overall level of your mix.
  • Vintage EQ: The Vintage EQ module can be used to add the emulated frequency response of the Pultec EQP-1A and Pultec MEQ-5.
  • Dither: Ozone includes a comprehensive set of dithering tools to help you prepare studio-quality audio for different delivery formats. The Dither panel includes iZotope’s MBIT+ dither algorithm along with a unique set of meters to offer a complete view of the conversion process.
  • Track Referencing: Referencing in Ozone helps you compare and contrast audio in your DAW by allowing you to import up to 10 reference tracks, visualize differences in your music with overlaid spectrum metering, and quickly A/B your audio without leaving Ozone.
iZotope Dialogue Match AudioSuite Software for Postproduction (Download)

Available for download, iZotope Dialogue Match is a tool designed to make the lives of post-production engineers easier, specifically by matching the timbre and ambience of ADR dialogue with material recorded in production. Using iZotope's machine learning, the company's forensic technologies, and Exponential Audio's reverb algorithms, Dialogue Match expertly massages looped dialogue so that it naturally matches the tone of the original scene.

Operating has been made streamlined and simple: first, you capture a reference profile from a desired track such as a character's dialogue as recorded within the scene itself from a boom or lapel microphone. Then in Pro Tools, you highlight the audio you're intending to affect, such as the ADR. Hit the Capture button in the GUI, and the software will automatically calibrate an EQ curve and an ambience and reverb profile, creating the perfect match.

From here, you can tweak the EQ curve, the reverb, and the ambience by ear if need be. Hit render, and the processing is completed.

Dialogue Match allows you to save snapshots as presets, so you don't have to keep tweaking the chain every time you're working with similar audio. You can also save captured references for storage. This speeds up your workflow, because you won't have to keep recapturing the same audio for targeting.

This software is only available as an AudioSuite process in Pro Tools 11 or later. It is compatible with Mac and Windows operating systems.

Intuitive EQ Module
By leveraging Ozone’s EQ-matching technology, Dialogue Match offers an intuitive EQ module right inside the AudioSuite GUI. The Dialogue Match EQ module includes:

  • Amount: Controls the dry/wet ratio for your processed audio file
  • Up to 8 frequency band nodes for sonic flexibility and versatility
  • 5 shapes for each band node: Bell, High Pass, High Shelf, Low Pass, and Low Shelf
  • Individual Enable/Bypass controls on each band node for easy A-to-B comparisons
Helpful Reverb Module
The Reverb module in Dialogue Match serves two functions. First, it analyzes the reverb profile of your reference file. It then produces an Exponential Audio reverb patch designed to emulate the reflections of your reference file, which you can refine using a number of intuitive parameter controls, such as:

  • Wet and Dry controls: Presented as individual parameters to better balance your desired reverb tone
  • Bypass: Enables and disables the Reverb module
  • Early Reflections: Controls the Level (gain) and Time (length) of the first reverb reflections
  • Tail: Controls the Predelay, Level, Attack, and Time (length) of the reverb tail
  • Reverb types: Choose from Chamber, Hall, or Plate reflections to tailor the right reverb for your project
  • Output Filter: Offers high and low pass filtering for your reverb signal
  • Density: Colors your reverb for even more precise fine-tuning
Ambiance Module
The Ambience module in Dialogue Match puts the finishing touches on the resulting sonic profile. This module learns your reference's ambience data (the background noise), in addition to its EQ curve and reverb characteristics. By doing so, Dialogue Match creates a more detailed, comprehensive profile which can then be applied to your target files with more precision and accuracy. Complete with a spectrogram display and Trim slider, the Ambience module lets you dial in the final layer of realism to your actors’ performances for unparalleled depth and authenticity.
