Panasonic S9 Overview

By B&H Photo's
Panasonic Lumix S9 Mirrorless Camera (Black)
Stylish, High-Performing, and Travel-Friendly
Packing the power of full-frame into an ultralight and compact build, the Panasonic Lumix S9 Mirrorless Camera, presented here in black, is the perfect on-the-go camera for content creators. While smartphones continue to advance in their photo and video capabilities, a uniquely small full-frame system such as the S9 provides you with significantly more power without the burden of the size of a typical mirrorless or DSLR camera. A 24.2MP full-frame sensor is utilized within the S9, which makes creating high-quality images much easier, even in dimly lit situations. You also have the advantage of choosing from numerous L-mount lenses to suite your needs. Overall, the simplicity and convenience of the S9 makes it an excellent tool for elevating your ability to quickly create and share impactful images.
Connect and Share Instantly
Getting your photos and videos onto your smartphone quickly is a massive benefit offered by the S9. With improved connection speed and stability, users are able to easily link their device to the S9 in a few simple steps with the Lumix Lab app.
Real Time LUT (Signature Presets)
Create your own signature presets on your smartphone and transfer them to your S9, so you can apply them to your photos while you're shooting, not after. This gives you a precise idea of what your finished photos or videos will look like and is a massive time saver. You can download creators' LUT from the official Lumix website.
Extend Your Range with Crop and Hybrid Zoom
The crop zoom function utilizes the center of the camera sensor to extend the normal zoom range while maintaining image quality. The hybrid zoom function utilizes both optical and crop zoom to extend the focal length even further.
L-Mount Lens Selection
Based on your shooting needs, complement your S9 with one of the many superb L-mount lenses. With more than 80 lenses to choose from, the possibilities of images you can create are boundless. Maintain the small and lightweight nature of the S9 by pairing it with the Lumix S 26mm f/8, or go with a more versatile, but slightly less portable option like the Lumix S 20-60mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.
More Camera Benefits
  • 30 fps pre-burst shooting
  • MP4Lite video, which is a new video file format optimized for fast uploads
  • Real-time LUT button
  • Autofocus detection for human, animal, car, and motorcycle subjects
  • Time-lapse and stop-motion animation video recording modes

Panasonic Lumix S 28-200mm f/4-7.1 MACRO O.I.S. Lens (L-Mount)
Suited to Any Scenario
Superb zoom range with uncompromising mobility, the Panasonic Lumix S 28-200mm f/4-7.1 MACRO O.I.S. Lens is an excellent pairing for your full-frame L-mount mirrorless camera system. It's the first wide-to-tele zoom lens to be added to the S-series lineup and features a vast focal length range that allows you to effectively capture portraits and landscapes without having to rely on multiple lenses.
5-Axis Dual I.S. 2 Image Stabilization
Shoot handheld with confidence with built-in 5-axis image stabilization. Providing up to 6.5 stops of correction, the Lumix S 28-200mm f/4-7.1 delivers sharp imagery at considerably low shutter speeds.
Lens Construction
Featuring one aspherical lens element and four ED elements, the Lumix S 28-200mm f/4-7.1 is built to uphold image quality and prevent optical aberrations. A 9-bladed circular diaphragm creates flattering, round bokeh. The front lens element has a fluorine coating that helps prevent oil- and water-based substances from sticking to it.

Two switches are featured on the lens barrel, allowing you to make quick adjustments while you shoot. One switch is for swapping between AF and MF. The other is to disable the lens's image stabilization.

All-Around Focal Length
With a zoom range of 28-200mm, this lens allows you to photograph an array of subjects without having to worry about switching between multiple lenses. So if you're a variety shooter, you're able to capture impressive landscapes and portraits alike. Simultaneously you're equipped with a vast amount of perspectives to choose from when capturing images.
Impressively Mobile
Among the smallest and lightest of its class, this lens is perfect to bring along traveling with as it measures 3.7" in length and weighs just less than one pound.
  • 5.5" minimum focus distance
  • 0.5x magnification at 28mm
  • 67mm filter size

Does it take photos or do you need to use a Nikon to do that?
Asked by: s
The Panasonic Lumix S9 Mirrorless Camera is capable of taking photos, but it doesn't have a mechanical shutter. Therefore, the Lumix S9 can't use a flash, and with very fast moving subjects you may get distortion.
