High-Resolution 25.2MP Sensor, 5.7K Raw Video
Redesigned from the ground up, this sensor improves upon its predecessors in the GH Series with new components and software. It has an improved 13+ stops of dynamic range boost despite its reduced cell size due to the increased number of pixels on the Micro Four Thirds sensor.
Offering 4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K 60p/50p internal recording, the LUMIX GH7 delivers unlimited recording time when used at the recommended operating temperature (-10 to 104°F).
5.7K30 ProRes RAW HQ footage can now be recorded internally on the camera via a CFexpress Type B card, giving you the freedom to capture the moment at the click of a button with minimal setup and no need for external devices. The SD slot can capture up to 10-bit 4K120 footage.
32-Bit Float Recording
When combined with the separately available DMW-XLR2, the LUMIX GH7 delivers the world's first 32-bit float recording, improving the quality and efficiency of the entire workflow. With its wide dynamic range, the 32-bit float format records more information, from quiet to loud sounds, eliminating the need for tedious sound level adjustments during audio recording. The GH7 is always ready to capture 48 kHz 24-bit with its built-in mic.
Phase Hybrid AF & Advanced Recognition
The most important thing with autofocus is to be dependable. In addition to contrast AF, the LUMIX GH7 offers the Phase Detection AF system, which dramatically improves subject tracking performance and metering technologies. The camera can capture the subject even in challenging scenes in which multiple subjects are involved, delivering accuracy even in backlit or low-light environments.
Advanced Detection AF pushes the envelope on sports, wildlife, and car/motorcycle photography. The LUMIX GH7 can now recognize a wider range of subjects and target parts, including human and animal eyes, the front of vehicles, the helmets of drivers and motorcyclists, the first car of a train, and the nose of an airplane.
Richer Tonal Expression
The Dynamic Range Boost function acquires two types of images with a single exposure and synthesizes them in real-time to create composite images with rich tonal range even in scenes with significant luminance differences. With still images, it allows for richer expression of shadow tones in RAW data. With video, it enables 13+-stop V-Log/V-Gamut recording.

Real-Time LUTs
LUTs can be applied to photos and videos on the camera body itself, allowing you to create photos and videos straight out of the camera. Supports ".VLT" and ".CUBE" file formats. By utilizing this feature, you can save time on the complicated post-editing process. In combination with the LUMIX Lab app, you can easily create your own LUTs and install them on the camera.
Lightning-Fast Sensor Readout
The Venus Engine has twice the power of previous generations, which enables 75 fps burst shooting or up to 240 fps variable frame rate (VFR) slow motion video footage. The Venus Engine's fast sensor readout limits the rolling shutter distortion to keep skyscrapers vertical when shooting from an automobile's action mount or to capture slow motion footage of quickly moving objects.

The GH7's ultra-fast Wi-Fi connection lets you pair the camera with your smartphone in three easy steps and transfers content seamlessly.

ARRI LogC3 Recording
By using the separately available DMW-SFU3A Software Upgrade Key, users can use the ARRI LogC3, which enables color matching with ARRI's digital cinema cameras. The image processing of the ARRI LogC3 curve on LUMIX GH7 has been certified by ARRI for the implementation of this function. The options for Log recording, which provides rich color information and a wide dynamic range, have been expanded to include ARRI LogC3 in addition to the conventional V-Log, further improving LUMIX's workflow compatibility.

Unlimited Recording Times
Panasonic recognizes the importance of shooting extended clips and has designed the GH7 to not have a maximum record time. There's no need to stop shooting due to overheating. The GH7's compact body and heat dissipation structure enable extended recording even when shooting at heavy loads (4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K 60p/50p, ProRes RAW HQ).
Intelligent Image Processing
3D noise reduction is achieved by comparing three sequential frames, then automatically scrubbing the noise, which appears in only one of the three frames. Intelligent detail processing eliminates the need for a low-pass filter and smooths fine details like hair and wires to minimize moiré patterns.
Raw Recording via HDMI
In addition to internal recording to the CFexpress card, the GH7 supports 12-bit raw video output in 5.7K, DCI 4K, and Anamorphic 5.8K and 4.4K formats via HDMI when recording to Atomos Ninja V and V+ external recorders in ProRes RAW.

Though LUMIX is known for stellar video production, it excels as a hybrid camera with its 100MP stills, a wide dynamic range, 7.5 stops of dual image stabilization, and continuous shooting up to 75 fps with an electronic shutter.
Streaming Capabilities
The GH7 can stream directly via Wi-Fi, USB tethering, or wired Ethernet LAN. Choose your favorite streaming approach to share your latest in real time. For outdoor use, wireless live streaming (RTMP/RTMPS) is easy to set up with the LUMIX Sync app. For indoor use, highly stable wired live streaming (RTP/RTSP) is also available.
Rapid-Fire for Three Seconds
Achieve 75 fps burst shooting (AFS, electronic shutter) while maintaining 25.2MP due to the fast readout speed of the GH7 sensor and the superior processing power of the new Venus Engine. The high sensor readout speed reduces rolling shutter distortion. Shoot 75 fps with the electronic shutter and AFS or 14 fps with the mechanical shutter and AFS. With AFC, you can shoot at up to 8 fps with the mechanical shutter or 7 fps with the electronic shutter.
Clean Details in Low Light
Details are retained and color noise is reduced, even when shooting in dimly lit conditions that require high ISO. When conditions are less than ideal, 2D noise reduction gives your photos a more natural and three-dimensional quality.
Shutter Flexibility
Manually select between several shutter modes depending on your needs: a mechanical shutter type, electronic front curtain type, electronic shutter type, electronic shutter type with noise reduction after shooting at a slow shutter speed, or let the camera automatically switch the shutter type depending on the conditions and shutter speed.

CFexpress Type B & SD
The dual card slot provides options dependent on the bitrate of your shoot. The CFexpress Type B slot is necessary to record higher bitrate formats like Apple ProRes RAW and 422 HQ and 800 Mb/s 4:2:2 10-bit ALL-Intra footage. The SD card slot records bitrates up to 600 Mb/s when using high-performance UHS-II U3 Class 10 SD cards.
SSD Recording Over USB
Both video and stills can be recorded and played back using an external SSD when connected via the USB-C port. This enables saving to larger capacity drives and working with media that's immediately compatible with most post-production workflows.
NOTE: High-resolution SSD recording requires the separately available DMW-ACC11 power adapter and DMW-DCC18 coupler to maintain voltage.
Intelligent OLED Eyepiece
The 3.68m-dot OLED Live Viewfinder has a 0.76x-equivalent magnification for bright, realistic eye-level monitoring.
High-Definition TFT LCD
The free-angle 3" 1.84m-dot LCD screen tilts toward the shooter, enabling high- and low-angle shots, as well as positions in tight corners that would otherwise be extremely difficult to properly frame and focus your camera. It features high contrast, high brightness, and high visibility even under strong sunlight. Additionally, its intuitive design uses static touch control and has an improved locking mechanism for easier use.

The GH7 takes the DMW-BLK22 lithium-ion battery and provides approximately 360 shots per charge.
Weatherproof Below Freezing
The body of the GH7 is engineered to keep out precipitation and dust down to 14°F. Despite its sealed design, heat dispersal is attained through an electric fan, heat sink, and frame that radiates heat away from the sensor, engine, and memory card.

- This camera provides options to connect to external devices. The USB-C port enables data transfers of 10 Gb/s, powers the camera, or charges the battery. The HDMI type A port feeds the footage to an external recorder, or the hot shoe mount connects to an XLR expansion device like the DMW-XLR2 (available separately).
- A 3.5mm headphone jack is located on the side of the camera, above the 3.5mm headphone jack. On the front of the camera, a flash synchro socket doubles as a timecode in/out when using the included BNC converter cable.

Panasonic DMW-SFU3A LUMIX ARRI LogC3 Upgrade Software Key
Match ARRI cinema camera looks when using your select Panasonic LUMIX camera using this DMW-SFU3A LUMIX ARRI LogC3 Upgrade Software Key. This code unlocks a range of advanced video functions to further expand on the impressive video performance of your GH6, GH7, S1 II, S1 IIE, and S1R II mirrorless camera. It is ideal for those using these mirrorless cameras as a B-cam or gimbal/drone camera with a main cinema camera such as the ARRI ALEXA Mini.
Once installed, your camera will have a choice of over 80 ARRI looks, which can be previewed on the ARRI website using their Look Library simulator. The look can be applied as a LUT, which can work within SDR and HDR color spaces. It can be used with the Real-Time LUT function to apply the LUT while outputting live video. Please note the Real-Time LUT function is not available on the GH6.
A Wide Variety of ARRI Looks
Video shot with compatible LUMIX cameras in ARRI LogC3 can now be converted to your favorite ARRI look. The ARRI Look Library contains 80+ high-quality ARRI Looks to choose from, and in the ARRI Look Library simulator (available online at the ARRI website), you can easily check the ARRI Look File that best fits your shooting style and scenario.
Real-Time LUT Function
It is possible to store the LUT package for Rec709 conversion (ARRI Look Library LogC3 to Rec709 3D-LUTs) in the LUT Library of select LUMIX cameras and combine it with the Real-Time LUT function to capture videos with ARRI LUTs straight out of the camera.
Production Workflow
Using the ARRI Look Library (log-to-log), you can color grade videos recorded with ARRI LogC3 and apply the desired ARRI Look within the log space. By using the LUT package (ARRI_LogC3_v1-2_LUT_Package downloadable from the ARRI website) you can convert the color space of various display devices, allowing you to output the ARRI Look according to the desired color space in SDR and HDR.
Combine with ARRI Digital Cinema Cameras
Shooting in ARRI LogC3 is a perfect solution for situations that require added flexibility, such as mounting on a gimbal or drone or matching a B-camera. Select LUMIX cameras can easily match colors in shooting situations where cinema cameras, such as the ARRI ALEXA Mini, are used as the main camera. The ARRI LogC3 license employs a curve that conforms to the standard sensitivity of ISO 800 of the ARRI camera. As the gamma curve does not change depending on the ISO sensitivity, users can use the same editing workflow no matter which ISO they shoot at. It also enables recording at ISO Auto, which is unique to mirrorless cameras.
Compatibility with GH6
ARRI LogC3 recording can also be used on the LUMIX GH6 in the same way as the LUMIX GH7 by using the Software Upgrade Key DMW-SFU3A, with the exception of the Real-Time LUT function, which is not available on the GH6.
