Wacom Intuos Pro 2025 Reviews

Great Hardware IF you need the upgrade.

This is a great piece of hardware, the pen is fantastic and the tablet itself is sturdy, and surprisingly thin and lightweight. It does everything you'd expect it to. The Pro Pen 3 is great and is ALMOST worth the upgrade in of itself, especially due to the reduced tip wobble vs the Pro Pen 2 and the ability to replace the worn out grips. The backwards compatibility with older pens is also great, though at the time of writing this the driver was a little bit buggy about detecting and changing settings on the Pro Pen 2. It works fine with the 3D and Slim. The lack of touch support vs the 2017 is worth noting, however for me I never used it (except for the specific example below) and it got in the way more often than not. As a mostly keyboard-shortcut user the positioning of the dials and hotkeys on the tablet doesn't bother me, however one big downgrade I did notice moving over from the 2017 Intuos Pro model is the lack of touch sensitivity on the buttons. On the 2017 model you could lightly rest your finger on the buttons and a window would appear to show you what button you're on and what it does, this tablet lacks that feature in that if you don't remember what your keys are mapped to, you have to just press them to have that window appear and find out, which is less than ideal. The inclusion of a straight USB-C cable instead of a right angle USB-C cable is also a bummer vs the previous model, but not a huge deal. Overall, is it a worthy upgrade over the 2017 model? If you already own one and are happy with it, and don't feel the need/want to upgrade to the Pro Pen 3 then no. The big selling point for me here is the new pen, and if you're happy with the previous model, this is more of a side-grade than anything. If you don't already own the 2017 however, this is a great piece of kit that's well built, and the pen is fantastic. This would serve you well. The only reason I'm docking a star is the price. Wacom is still definitely the premium brand in the tablet world, and while I believe you get what you pay for, with the 2017 models being on sale in a lot of places, and them also being extremely good, I feel it might be a hard sell for someone more budget conscious to pay more for this vs. the also very strong, and cheaper, older model.

Incredibly thin and light

It’s thin, light, yet surprisingly sturdy. Despite its compact size, the active area is incredibly effective. I use it for professional photo post-production, and it’s just amazing—smooth, precise, and easy to work with, even across two monitors. Previously, I used a Cintiq 16 HD, but since I’m used to working with my eyes fixed on the monitor, that setup felt too bulky and not necessary for my needs. The new Intuos 2025 is absolutely perfect for me. For my workflow, the new Pen Pro 3 is a noticeable upgrade over the previous version. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase!
