Powerful built-in Bluetooth technology allows you to place the microphone up to 100' away from your camera, phone, or tablet and record both the audio and video to the same device—no separate audio recorder required, and no more wasting time in post syncing the audio and video together.

Connect directly to your mobile device via the free Shure MOTIV Android/iOS apps for video and audio. The apps lets you capture your audio and video in multiple formats, edit it, and share your creations via email, text, iTunes, AirDrop, and Dropbox. Or link easily to cameras, computers, and third-party mobile apps using the included MoveMic Receiver.

High-Quality Audio for a Variety of Applications
The MoveMic 88+ gives creators complete freedom to capture professional-quality audio wirelessly: From filmmaking to field recording, mobile journalism to videography, this wireless video microphone lets you quickly configure the way your microphone captures audio by choosing one of four polar patterns: stereo, mono cardioid, mono bidirectional (figure 8), or raw mid-side. Simply set it up within the MOTIV Video or Audio apps, or via the MoveMic Receiver, and you’re good to go.

The mono cardioid setting, for example, is a smart choice for an interview focused on a single subject. For a two-person interview, the mono bidirectional setting might yield better results. The stereo settings offer pickup patterns with variable width (from 60 to 135°), great for recording musical performances or environmental sounds. The raw mid-side setting lets you capture dramatic stereo imaging, which you can adjust later in postproduction.

The MoveMic 88+ is packed with intelligent digital signal processing (DSP) software that allows you to adjust gain, compression, EQ, high-pass filter, L/R channel swap, and brand-new noise reduction settings. An always-enabled limiter will prevent loud sounds from clipping or distorting your audio and five presets (speech, singing, flat, acoustic, loud) make it easy to get recording fast. Fully customizable, your own presets can be saved in both the Shure apps and the MoveMic Receiver, so you’re instantly ready next time.

Headphone Monitoring, 8-Hour Battery Life
Connect your headphones to the 3.5mm output to monitor your audio prior to recording to ensure you're capturing perfect audio. Simply adjust your monitor level (volume) via the MOTIV apps or MoveMic Receiver to hear every detail. MoveMic 88+ has up to eight hours of battery life on a full charge, meaning you can hit the road for a full day recording without worrying about running out of power. A USB-C charging cable, mic clip, cold-shoe mic clip, windscreen, and roll bag are included.
Use with or without Receiver
Not only does the MoveMic offer high-quality stereo audio recording; it has the power to connect directly to your phone via Bluetooth without the need for a receiver. Simply download the Shure MOTIV Video or Audio app, connect your MoveMics within the app and you're set.

Direct to phone is recommended for use with the MOTIV Video and Audio Apps only. Use the dual-channel MoveMic Receiver for additional compatibility with third-party apps on mobile devices as well as DSLR/mirrorless cameras and computers using the supplied USB-C or 3.5mm cables. Pick up a USB-C to Lightning cable (available separately) should you wish to connect to a Lightning-enabled iOS device.

The versatile system automatically switches from Bluetooth to a 2.4 GHz wireless transmission when paired with the MoveMic Receiver.

The receiver features an easy to navigate menu system with a crisp LCD screen and will run for up to 8 hours on a single charge at normal RF power and 8 hours at high RF power; it can also be powered via USB.

MoveMics make great sound

It’s early days with the 88 so I haven’t done much more than basic testing so far, but I have had the MoveMic lav set for quite a while and have developed a lot of confidence in the clean transmissions and clear audio I get straight to camera. I expect to use the 88 as a plant mic for documentary and narrative work and as an on-camera backup source. For on-camera I would suggest getting a dampened mount since the included clips are not isolated. Oh and the body has a bit more girth than a lot of shotgun mics out there so some small mounts will not work and my FX6 holder can’t clamp all the way down with this mic.
