OM SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm f/5-6.... Overview

The M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 100-400mm f/5-6.3 IS II Lens by OM System is a 200-800mm full-frame equivalent super-telephoto zoom for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. Its incredible reach, combined with the optimal quality of the lens, makes it a great asset when it comes to sports and wildlife photography thanks to its long range and handy zoom capabilities. This super-telephoto zoom lens arrives with significant upgrades to its image stabilization and weather sealing.

A telephoto lens makes a photographic subject appear closer than it actually is. This can be ideal for photographers who are unable to be close to their subjects either due to physical constraints or out of concern for safety. These lenses also serve an artistic purpose and are remarkable at creating contrasting focuses between foreground and background.

Version II Enhancements
With improved optical image stabilization performance, this lens system now compensates for 4.5 stops at both minimum and maximum extension, and its newly introduced advanced five-axis sync IS system offers up to 7.0 stops of shutter speed compensation—this is powerful handheld photography.

Additionally, with a minimum focusing distance of 4.27' and a 0.57x equivalent maximum magnification this lens maximizes the use of its IS system for an outstanding telemacro performance, opening a world of possibilities when it comes to wildlife photography.

Performance Details
  • When utilizing the MC-20 2x teleconverter, the lens is able to reach up to an impressive 1600mm.
  • Reliable all-weather durability thanks to its IPX1 rating, dust-resistant design, and fluorine-coated front element.
  • Advanced optics feature four extra-low dispersion lenses, two super-high refractive index lenses, and two high refractive index lenses.
  • ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating minimizes ghosting and flares, ensuring clarity even in challenging backlit conditions.
