The Boxlight FrontRow IP Speaker Kit with CB-85 Intercom Mic delivers an affordable and scalable solution for paging, emergency alerts, and two-way communication across school campuses. Designed to integrate with the FrontRow Conductor platform, this kit supports reliable daily communications and quick, silent intercom calls between classrooms and the front office—using your existing network infrastructure.
Ideal for classrooms and staff spaces that don’t require full media amplification, but still need clear, consistent audio coverage and intercom capability, the kit includes a 1 x 2' lay-in ceiling speaker an a plenum-rated 1 x 2' ceiling enclosure. It mounts flush in standard 2 x 2' drop ceilings, blending in with the room’s existing tiles for a clean, finished look. The included CB-85 ceiling-mounted microphone fits standard single-gang enclosures and provides a hands-free, talk-back microphone that allows a teacher to answer an intercom call from anywhere in the classroom. It is also compatible with Leviton Decora plates. For larger rooms needing extended coverage, up to three additional speakers can be added (power supply required).
The system is powered via Ethernet using the included CM900 networked amplifier and 802.3at PoE extractor, eliminating the need for AC power at the speaker location.
