DJI Mavic 4 Pro Overview

Elevating aerial cinematography once again with a leap forward in both design and functionality is the Mavic 4 Pro Drone from DJI. The standard hanging gimbal of the previous generation is gone, replaced with a ball-shaped 360° Infinity Gimbal at the front of the body, improving the Mavic 4 Pro's aerodynamics. Within, an upgraded triple-camera system. The wide-angle Hasselblad now offers 100MP stills, an adjustable aperture, and up to 6K60 HDR video. This is joined by a 48MP medium tele and 50MP standard tele for 4K60 HDR video. Low-light shooting is a big focus with a 0.1-lux nightscape omnidirectional obstacle avoidance system and front LiDAR. Additionally, video transmission, flight time, vertical shooting, and vehicle tracking have all been improved.

To Infinity and Beyond
The unique ball-shaped Infinity Gimbal offers a wide range of movement that includes 360° of rotation. This allows you to achieve aerial Dutch angles and other creative, dramatic, and gravity-defying movements. It is also capable of 70° upward shooting, letting you capture awe-inspiring framing of mountains and tall urban structures.
Triple-Camera System
Within the Infinity Gimbal are a trio of camera lenses that let pilots cover image and video capture of a huge variety of content, with an emphasis on nature, architecture, and wildlife. The most advanced is a Hasselblad-designed 100MP wide-angle lens with an adjustable aperture for capturing clean low-light shots and 10-ray starburst effects. Video tops out at a stunning 6K60 HDR with support for the Hasselblad natural Color Solution (HNCS), a renowned standard of color fidelity. It's joined by a 48MP medium tele for compressed perspectives that highlight subjects for portraits, and a 50MP standard tele for incredibly clear long-range results that reduces depth perception and flattens perspective. All three share an enviable set of additional features.

  • 4K60 HDR video (up to 6K60 HDR for 100MP Hasselblad)
  • Slow motion video at up to 4K120 (Hasselblad & medium tele) and 4K100 (tele)
  • Dual native ISO fusion that seamlessly blends the best of high and low ISO settings
  • High resolution RAW stacking of up to 5 frames
  • Free Panorama & Subject Focusing modes
  • 10-bit D-Log profiles for consistent color
Improved Tracking
The previous generation sported ActiveTrack technology, which is upgraded to ActiveTrack 360 on the Mavic 4 Pro. The most important difference is that this drone can now track autonomously, making navigation decisions on its own. With the Mavic 4 Pro's low-light capabilities, tracking is now even better under city lights or at twilight. Tracking can even keep its focus if the lower half of the subject is partially obscured during the shot. The Mavic 4 Pro's tracking system also has better directional awareness and an up to 656' range when detecting vehicles, significantly improving your automotive cinematography.
Night Flight
A total of six high-performance low-light fisheye sensors provide 0.1-lux sensitivity for omnidirectional obstacle sensing that supports safe nighttime filming. Dual processors help with high resolution awareness that equates to obstacle avoidance at speeds of up to 40 mph in low-light conditions, such as by street light illumination. This visual system ensures accurate positioning in near-pitch-black places and those with poor satellite signals. If light falls to below 0.1 lux, the Mavic 4 Pro's forward-facing LiDAR can still detect obstacles for quick braking and collision avoidance.
Low-Light RTH
Getting your Mavic 4 Pro home safely is more a certainty than ever before thanks to Nighttime RTH and Non-GPS RTH features. With Nighttime RTH, the forward-facing LiDAR can detect and avoid obstacles in low-light conditions. Non-GPS RTH uses the real-time vision positioning system and onboard map construction technologies to memorize flight paths in adequate lighting, even when taking off from locations without satellite signals.
O4+ Transmission
Better know what you're capturing from the ground with DJI's O4+ video transmission technology that delivers 10-bit HDR quality footage from up to 18.6 miles away. O4+ also features improved algorithms that help reduce disconnections in high-interference environments, such as in urban areas, and optimizes transmission during multi-drone flights.
Quick Transfer
There's no need to turn on the Mavic 4 Pro to transfer your clips and images. With Quick Transfer, leave the drone in your bag and use the DJI Fly mobile app to wake it for up to 80 MB/s transfers using Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax). If Wi-Fi is not an option, you can always plug in the drone to your PC via USB without having to power it on.
