5 sections legs means that the lower section is very thin. No short column - too bad. The included ball head has a very narrow plate and the ball unlocks to become very loose to be careful that the camera doesn't "drop". I am going to use a different head. Overall - feels too flimsy for a $220 price tag. But at the $99 I am ok with it.

This tripod extends out to about six feet making it comparable with my older, longer, and much heavier Bogan tripod. Well worth the money. Really light and compact, those few inches it saves make all the difference in my backpack.
