The Glidecam Forearm Brace for Glidecam XR-Series, HD-Series, and GLDGSS Stabilizers distributes the weight of your stabilizer over your entire forearm by virtue of Glidecam's exclusive and unique exoskeletal forearm support brace. The brace not only provides you with cushioned comfort while shooting, but also eliminates torque, which would otherwise cause stress on your wrist. With the forearm brace, the Glidecam system becomes an extension of the human body for smooth and natural shooting. The forearm brace works with the Glidecam XR-Series, HD-Series, and GLDGSS Stabilizers.

Glidecam GLARM Reviews
Meh...
I've had 2 of these and tried to use them on multiple. With proper technique and training, these become redundant and the opposite of ergonomic. I've been flying glidecams for about 13 years now and I wanted to like this product, but tbh, it's not really the business. Goldecam'ing is a physical activity requiring a baseline level of fitness and strength. Unless you really need to glidecam and have an injury or disability, I can see this being very useful. I'm glad it exists, but if you're able to pick up 20lbs in one hand and hold it out in front of you for 10 seconds, you should be able to do without something like this. Lastly, the reason this is so bad IMHO is partially because of fit. There is a flat metal bar that runs along the bottom that is meant to be supported by your elbow Padding and velcro secure the rest. This is added weight to something you already deemed heavy buy purchasing this. It isn't heavy, but every ounce counts. It you have short arms, the post is actually angled out a bit and cannot be adjusted which adds more leverage making it more difficult to hold. That angled pin also means you can't swing your handle around the post for better ergonomics. Especially when fatigue sets in, you tend to curl your arm to reduce the amount of leverage on your joints, this product assumes you will be rigid and only hold the setup in a particular way. Not even steadicam operators work like this. It only just barely justifies it's existence.
good value - would buy again
very solid - good design. It would be nice if they would offer accessories so you could substitute different diameter rods to fit into other things...
