The SmartEye 2" Smart Eyepiece & Camera from Pegasus Astro goes in your focuser like an eyepiece, but it shows you deep-sky objects your eyes can't see with most telescopes. SmartEye has the properties of a DSO camera, including a Sony IMX533 CMOSA sensor and a cooling system to reduce noise, but you see your image at your telescope, in real time, not at your PC. As you observe, SmartEye stacks a fresh layer of the image every 10 seconds, depth and detail increasing all the time. It works on any telescope with a motorized equatorial or altazimuth mount and a 2" focuser. A USB-C port supplies power, and an optional microSD saves your images.
