Westcott Strip Softbox Overview

The Westcott Strip Softbox with Silver Interior (12x36") is made of quality fabrics and is now available with a silver interior. Rods are metal - no fiberglass to break. Around the light, the fitted collar is made of heat retardant material. This softbox may be used with strobes or with "hot" lights up to 750W. The Strip Bank comes with two removable inner baffles. One is solid white and will give the effect of having a "hot spot" in the center. The other baffle is white with a silver circular center. The silver circular center is used to bounce the light off the back of the unit causing much more even light. Additionally - the front diffusion panel is also removable.

Required Speed (mounting) Rings are available separately for your light fixture.

Use this size for dramatic edge-lighting, or for a soft hair light for small group of people.

An optional Accessory Kit is available and contains a circular face mask, two strip light panels and four gold/white panels, which allow instant interior color change.

Does anyone know which speed ring I would need for this strip box (IF I WERE USING PHOTTIX INDRA 500 MONOLIGHT???

Since the Phottix Indra 500 has a Bowens S-type mount, the Westcott Speed Ring for Strip Bank & Octa Bank for Bowens B&H # WESROBB would allow to you to attach this Westcott Strip Softbox to your monolight. See the image below for reference.

What size does it collapse to? I'm looking for a softbox which can fit in a suitcase with 23 max length.

Unfortunately, this folds to 9 x24 - but you could possibly put on angle, which would cut an inch or two.

Can this softbox be used with speed lights? If additional equipment is needed, what is needed?

To be able to use this softbox with speedlights you will need a flash mount bracket and speedring. If you are planning on using only speedlights with this strip I would suggest buying the Westcott Rapid Box instead. Its a little smaller but comes with a mount and speedring. Hope this helps.

Yes. This modifier requires a speeding that Westcott makes many of, including Bowens. Get the Bowens ring and you'll be good.

Can this softbox be used with Impact 300w Qualite?

Most all lighting devices of this type can be used with any lighting device as long as you have the proper speedring attached to the softbox. There are many different types of speedrings for many different types of lighting devices so you would have to have the type that matches your lighting device. The holes that the poles of the softbox would connect to the ring like any other device would. They make certain types of speedrings for those less wide softboxes so just make sure the speedring you get will work with the type of softbox it is.
