Da-Lite Model C Overview

The Dalite 60 x 80" Model C Manual Front Projection Screen is a perfect choice for either a large lecture or seminar hall, or conference/training room. The screen is designed for heavy use and features lubricated steel ball bearings for a smooth operating system. The screen is accessed via a pull cord.

The CSR mechanism was designed to provide a smooth and safe way for the screen to be retracted into its case. This kind of consistent operation ensures a longer life for the screen. Screens with CSR must be fully extended since there are no intermediate stopping positions.

As an option, you can purchase the screen in any one of seven veneer finishes to give it a more professional, finished appearance. If you prefer not to choose a veneer or laminate, the screen will come with a white casing. In addition, you can also purchase floating brackets which allow the screen to be either wall or ceiling mounted but which also give you the freedom to align the system left/right.

Note:
Veneers include: Honey Maple, Medium Oak, Heritage Walnut, Mahogany, Light Oak, Natural Walnut, and Cherry. Cases with Honey Maple, Light Oak and Medium Oak. Cases with Honey Maple, Light Oak and Medium Oak finishes come standard with white end caps. Cherry, Mahogany, Natural Walnut and Heritage Walnut cases come with black end caps.
Permanently lubricated steel ball bearings combined with nylon bushings and heavy-duty spring assembly offers smooth operation even in demanding applications
Optional floating mounting brackets allow the Model C to be mounted onto wall or ceiling studs and aligned left or right after installation by releasing two sets of screws
Matte White fabric up to and including 10' high will be seamless
Glass Beaded fabric up to and including 8' high will be seamless

How much black drop on the top of the screen does it have?
Asked by: Kyle
The standard is 2" drop. However it can be ordered with more, up to a total of 156" with the screen. So an extra 67" more drop can be added.

I am looking for a screen to fill a 9 x 14 space. This looks like a great option but want to be sure I can pull it down only partially and still have it lock in place?
Asked by: jody
To Open Screen Protect Your Screen To Re-Roll Your Picture Surface The Model C operates on the same principle as a window shade. Pull down about 4 inches to disengage the locking dog and start the fabric up firmly and quickly. Large picture surfaces are heavy and will start up too slowly to prevent the locking dog from catching unless help is provided, so keep picture surface moving briskly. Should the locking dog catch, pull the picture surface down about 4 inches and start the surface up rapidly. However, do not permit the picture surface to roll up uncontrolled, particularly the last few feet. Allowing the bottom slat to strike the case uncontrolled may result in severe damage to your screen. Use the cord provided for control.

Can this screen be used for a 16:9 image or does it have to be 4:3?
Asked by: Nicholas
It is made for a 4:3 ratio. If using 16:9, you would not be able to fill the screen. Also picture being smaller.
