Power settings are adjustable in 1/10 or ½ stop increments across 6 stops. The bright 250W modeling light can be set to Proportional to let you previsualize your final shot when using multiple lights. The boxes arrived in tact but one of the bulbs was broken on the inside . These lights work for years and are a great purchase.

I use my strobes for a wide variety of projects form rodeo to portraits to products. The Photogenic units are reliable and easy to setup. When used with pocket wizard remotes, lighting is easy

I love these lights! they have taken my studio photography to the next level. The fact that I can control the power with such precision makes it so much easy to produce the finished product I am looking for. To add, the build in Pocket Wizards makes my life leaps and bounds easier not having to deal with the issue of having to hook up external Pocket Wizards and worry about banging them around as I re position lights while I'm shooting. It is just an all around great package! They could be a little cheaper but lets be honest, we wish everything is cheaper and I know that you get what you pay for so I think the quality that I got fits the price.

Santa Photography, School Photography, Portrait Photography. Flash after flash after flash. Spend your money on other Monolights if you wish, but I will not buy anything else. This is my Shcool Photography Setup: 2 Photogenic PL1250DRC PowerLights & 2 - StudioMax III 320s, Wescott Stormclouds background. Manfrotto Tripod and a Custom Brackets rotating head.

Great kit for the price.

We purchased this kit to go behind V-Flats that we sometimes use during studio shooting. The performance has been quite outstanding and on-par with our more expensive high-end strobes. Overall we're very pleased and we think they're a great value.

I use this product for just about everything studio related, I also take it out on my youth league picture days and it provides just the right amount of fill for my team & individual images. Been using this light head for nearly 15 years now, other than replacing the flash tube I have not experienced any technical issues whatsoever with this light.

question

Can the power be adjusted remotely? If so, how? Thanks!
Asked by: Kimberli D.
From the manufacturer. The power can be adjusted with the Photogenic PLDIR-2 Infrared Receiver (919235) <a href= https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/175746-REG/Photogenic_919235_Infra_Red_Receiver_Digital_Display.html target= _blank >https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/175746-REG/Photogenic_919235_Infra_Red_Receiver_Digital_Display.html</a> and the PLIRC-2, and the Photogenic Infrared Hand Held Remote (919438) <a href= https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/523174-REG/Photogenic_919438_PLIRC2_Infra_Red_Receiver_Digital.html target= _blank >https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/523174-REG/Photogenic_919438_PLIRC2_Infra_Red_Receiver_Digital.html.</a>

question

Can flash duration be adjusted?
Asked by: Simcha W.
Not directly, no. But for most flash units the brightness of the flash over a set amount of time doesn't change. What does change is the length of the light burst. So shooting at full power uses the longest burst, and at half power it will be half as long. I don't have the manuals in front of me (but they are online at the Photogenic website). I'm pretty sure they give the length of flash durations at various settings.... or at least an estimate.
