question

Is there a suggested ceiling height for best results with the 7'? My ceiling is 9' and I'm concerned that I don't have enough space for the 7'. However, it is more adequate for my wants (full-body, families, etc).
Asked by: Lisa M.
The narrow measure of the 7' Octabank is about 6'5 which would place the center of the bank at about 5'10 with your 9 foot ceiling. The 5' Octabank measures 55 at the narrowest which would place its center at around 6' 8 and give you more options for how you direct the angle of the light.

question

Is anyone else using this Speed Ring? Impact Speed Ring for Paul C. Buff, Balcar, Flashpoint Series 1. I cannot seem to disassemble the softbox, I am unable to pull the poles from the speedring, they feel locked in place.
Asked by: Joe
It sounds backwards, but with the box facing down against the floor, push down on the poles while you pull out of the holes. Pushing down on them will give room for them to pop right out.
