Is this moon filter supposed to be cracked? ie., split open? I received one that was cracked across the word moon . When issued a replacment, I received another one in the same shape. Now I'm wondering if it's supposed to be like this???
Definitely not supposed to be like that. It's a really poor quality thread, not sure why they bothered to make this. I ended up buying the eyepiece and filter kit, and the moon filter in there is a lot better, and I'm sure there are others you can buy individually as well. You're better off paying just a couple bucks extra to get a product that will work

Does this moon filter work with the Luminos 23mm eyepiece that comes with the Celestron 1100HD scope?
If you have a 2 eyepiece, you'll need a 2 filter. This particular filter is a 1.25 so it will not work for your lens.
