Meade 07202 overview

  • 1Description

A 90° diagonal prism for Schmidt-Cassegrain and refractor telescopes, the Meade #918A renders upright but laterally-reversed images which are brighter than erect image designs, which render images both upright and laterally correct at the expense of a bit of light.  When at lower magnifications it is fine to use an erecting device, but when maximizing your magnification option given the scope, seeing conditions & object of interest it is important to employ a device which leaves the image reversed.

Meade 07202 reviews

#918A 90-Degree Prism Diagonal (1.25") is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't judge a item by its price This is a great product for the price. If you are into astronomy just some of the time, this is for you. I use it with a Televue 60 and it does wonders for objects like the moon, planets, and some spiral galaxies. This is a lot better than trying to look straight up with a straight through scope. I've had other Meade products and they are just as realiable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Meade's standard mirror-based diagonal - can't go wrong This is Meade's standard 1.25 inch mirror-based diagonal. I have an old one that is cracked and is prism based - did the crazy thing and swapped the mirror on the new one with the prism. It worked out just fine.
