Answer: No, larger mm (eyepiece Focal Length) makes less magnification. Explanation: Magnification is calculated by dividing the Focal Length of the Objective lens or mirror (FL-obj) by the Focal Length of the Eyepiece (FL-ep). So for 56 mm eyepiece and a 1000mm FL-obj: Mag = FL-obj / FL-ep --- 1000/56 = 17.8 For 26 mm eyepiece and a 1000mm FL-obj: Mag = FL-obj / FL-ep --- 1000/26 = 38.5

Only if you have an adapter to change 1.25" to 2" An adapter can be a diagonal with or without erecting prism or jus a straight adapter. Any preference. ?
