    Shure M35X reviews

M35X DJ Turntable Cartridge is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful, Even for Home Use I bought this after reviewing many other cartridges and needles. I found that this was a great choice for even those who need a reliable cartridge for their turntable at home. Despite this being utilized by DJs for Techno music, the bass production was as expected, nice and deep while still maintaining highs in all kinds of music. The sound was even throughout and minimized skips very well. Even older records track very well. I am using this in a Sony PS-X40 from 1979. The only thing I could say that was a negative is that the screws were almost not long enough. That's extremely minor though. It fit on my standard headshell very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cartridge for the price Ordered this cartridge to replace a 50-year-old Pickering V15 that I thought was acting up (turned out to be other issues) so that is my comparison. I am using this unit to digitize a collection of vinyl records. This cartridge in comparison to the Pickering has a cleaner, more accurate sound with a subtle mellowness (a good thing). The audio is real accurate to my ears; I am able to hear individual instruments or voices that the Pickering was not giving me. Some have said the included mounting screws were not long enough but they were slightly too long (by approx. 1-2mm) for my tonearm head; two lengths of screws were included. I am very pleased with this cartridge and would definitely buy again at such a great price. Shipping from B&H was quick.
