Nikon DK-16 overview

  • 1Description

The Nikon DK-16 Rubber Eyecup for Select Nikon Cameras is a viewfinder frame for select Nikon DSLR and SLR cameras. This eyecup is intended to prevent stray light, which could make focusing and composing an image difficult, from coming in between a compatible camera's viewfinder and the eye it is held up to. The cushioning it provides serves to promote comfort during use as well as to protect the surfaces of eyeglasses or sunglasses if they are worn while holding a compatible camera up to one's eye.

Nikon DK-16 reviews

DK-16 Rubber Eyecup for Select Nikon Cameras is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits N75/F75 well. I purchased a used Nikon F75 which was missing its eyecup. My investigation for a replacement did not provide a clear answer as to which DK-xy Nikon eyecup would fit the F75 as several different ones were claimed to fit. This one seems to fit snug as an original would without slop and conforms accurately to the underlying hard plastic of the body around its perimeter. I also have an N80 with its original eyecup which is a DK-10. Similar cameras, but, different eyecups. Just FYI. To those stating, Fits my camera perfectly, consider that your review would be actually useful if you would identify your model of camera.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be careful This eye cup doesn't fit very tight and comes off quite easily. In fact, I lost mine within a few days of putting it on the camera. Recommendation: Either don't bother buying it or put a little dab of glue on the inside so it doesn't fall off. $ = wasted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small order handled like a big one I purchased a used Nikon D40x earlier this summer. The only thing missing from the body was the eyecup. While that's not a big thing, it protects eyeglasses from scratching and I certainly needed one. I tried an off-brand replacement, but it didn't fit very well, and soon fell off the camera and disappeared.I ordered a genuine Nikon replacement part online from B&H. ...It fits perfectly and won't fall off. Thanks for carrying this part for an older camera ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect replacement. There's not too much to this product. It's a replacement rubber eyepiece for the one that comes with many Nikon cameras (including my D40). If you tend to throw the camera in a bag like I do, it's easy for the piece to come off, so I bought a couple replacements after I lost my first one. It fits perfectly and hasn't fallen off yet (just a couple weeks).
