Is this compatible with Betacam Camcorders?
Asked by: Garo
If this is the same type of battery your Betacam Camcorder takes, it will work fine, but that is entirely dependent on the model of your Betacam Camcorder.

How long will this pieer the Tascam HS-P82? Looking for the most reliable and longest time-frame possible.
Asked by: Jeff
This is rated around a 30 Wh battery, according to Tascam the HS-P82 will last 5 hours with a 68 Wh battery. You can expect this to last a bit less than half of that at 2.5 hours. For a longer running battery we suggest B&H # IDNPL7S, which is a 68 Wh battery from IDX.

Is this for sure 12V? I heard this battery is now produced as a 13.8V battery.
Asked by: Adam S.
Battery ratings are always nominal or in engineering, nominal is used to describe a measurement (or group of measurements) that matches the predicted value(s) within the expected margin of error. So the rating is approximate. Since these are NiCad batteries, a full charge can result in the nominally rated 12VDC to be in reality 13.4VDC hot off the charger. It will soon come down into the 12VDC range. Just be sure the device your are using can take the higher voltage and you will be fine.

Will this battery work with the Remote Audio BDSv4 system? I am building a BDS for my location audio bag, to power a Tascam DR680 (12VDC) and a Sound Devices 552 (10-18VDC).
Asked by: David
I simply use mine for my PSC M4 location mixer. It should work fine with your BDS system you are building.
