Those Heliopan step-up rings are the best. They are massive, solid and very well made of brass. Those do not stuck on lens threads which is valid for screwed-in filters as well compared to other brands' rings made of cheap aluminum.
I am stepping up from a Caivision 85mm clamp on to 95 mm thread adapterto fit a 105 mm metal B+W wide angle lens hood. I first tried a * General Brand made by Bower and it wouldn't even fit. It was much less expensive but very badly made.The Heliopan has a matte finish and it easily screws on and off and on again.
