PocketWizard MultiMax 32 Channel Transceiver Radio Slave
Key Features
• Combination Transmitter and Receiver
• USB Port for Software Upgrades
• Improved Close-Range Operation
The Pocket Wizard MultiMAX features "Wireless Transceiver Technology", which eliminates the need for separate transmitter/receiver triggering configuration. Each MultiMAX provides the capability to send and receive digital signaling by a flip of a switch, similar to personal communicators.

Through its use of advanced transceiver technology, the MultiMAX offers true triggering confirmation feedback up to 1600 feet away without the need for signal repeaters or daisy-chained radios. In the "Selective Quad Triggering Mode", the MultiMAX automatically confirms (on the selected transmitter) every zone simultaneously, with immediate visual and audible feedback. Using the optional Flash Confirmation Cable, the transmitter receives a visual and audible signal, confirming that a triggered flash actually fires. Finally, there's a real confirmation system which reassures the photographer that everything is working.

The MultiMAX comes loaded with "Trigger Time Control" software. This software package offers several tools for the working professional all in one small package. With this software, it's easy and very convenient to create rear-curtain sync effects with any camera, add depth of field using multipop mode and record events as they unfold using the intervalometer mode.

Other standard features of the PocketWizard MultiMAX are up to 1600 foot triggering range, 32 digital 16/24 bit coded channels, 1/1000 flash sync speed (in fast mode), contact closure adjustment, trigger counter and much more. Also, Wireless enabling / disabling of camera pre-release setting has been added (and new cables for this pre-release feature).

question

How can I order the product version that can work in Europe? Thanks, Eugene
Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately at this time we only carry the US frequency of the PocketWizards. You can use them in Europe but not in conjunction with PocketWizards purchased in Europe. They units must all be US or European frequencies.

question

I have Pocket Wizzard Plus II's. Will the MultiMax work with them and will the features of the MultiMax such as confirming that the Plus II's fired work, also?
Asked by: Anonymous
While the Plus II is compatible with the MultiMax, it will not be compatible with the confirmation feature which is only available when using other MultiMax units on channels 17 and higher.

question

What is the sync speed of this unit? Will they work with a Haselblad H4D-60 and Elinchrom rangers/quadras?
Asked by: Anonymous
The sync speed on the MulitMax 32 is not connected to it but what the camera can sync to.The Hasseblad has a sync speed of up to 1/800 so it will sync up to that speed.

question

I am interested in purchasing this unit to use with my Sunpak MS400 Mono lights. Do I need to buy any other product with this unit to trigger my monolights?
Asked by: Anonymous
To trigger your monolight, you would need at least two (2) PocketWizard MultiMax 32 Channel Transceiver Radio Slaves; one for the camera as a transmitter to send the signal to fire, and one on the Sunpak MS400 monolight as a receiver to receive the signal to fire. Unfortunately, do to the age of the monolight and the fact it is currently discontinued and no longer available, I was not able to find much information on the sync terminal used on your flash. From memory, I believe it uses a household plug. If so, then you would also need to purchase the PocketWizard MH1 Miniphone to Household Cable - Straight - 16 , B&H # WICHHM16. However, I would recommend verifying the connection your monolight uses, or recommend bringing your monolight to a local camera store so they can inform you on which sync terminal your monolight uses so we can then recommend the correct cable for your needs.http://bhpho.to/JAMlVq
