I've used lot's of recording mics. AKG cardoid, Yeti mic, and rode mics. This is the best mic I've ever used for podcasting. Great tone. Will be buying a second one soon.
Great mic with one minor flaw

Using this mic almost daily. It's been a great improvement over my previous setup. The only complaint is you'll need a pre-amp that is capable of boosting the output of this mic. The Focusrite devices here on B&H don't quite have enough gain to do so.

Firstly I need to thank BH Photo for their outstanding customer service. Bought this and wasn't crazy about it at first and they made the return easy and were awesome. Saw a needed a preamp and also used better headphones and I can definitely hear a difference. The audio is nice and bass-filled but not overbearing bass.
Note: the first time I bought it I did not use the better headphones for some reason and still thought it sounded great, it is an investment of course so I did get cold feet.
Built like a tank, the shock mount works great and the two pop filters give you some variety in your sound. I use the larger one for spoken word but the standard one works just fine. Plosives and Sibilance are well under control with this one.
Mics like the Yeti, and MV7 are great mics, and I do think we get to a diminishing returns point, but this mic will last you many, many years and the quality is smooth and great for all-around usage.

Shure SM7B is a fantastic mic - excellent background noise rejection, w/ low self-noise
the bundle saves me having to get a swing arm and XLR cable.

I use these or the EV RE-20 mics. I like both, but I think these look better on camera. They sound awesome.

I got this to improve the voiceovers on my YouTube videos, but it also works well for video calls. Requires a little more hardware than a simple USB microphone, but I feel like it's an investment that I should be able to hold on to for years to come. It's pretty heavy, so make sure you have a good stand for it! It also requires a lot of amplification to pick up the audio, but paired with a good audio interface it can really shine.
