    VariZoom VZSHOE reviews

VZSHOE Swivel Shoe Mount is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Bad, Could Be Better I use this to hold an IKAN 8 monitor on a HVX200 or DVX100b. The Swivel is useful and works great. My only complaint is the ring to tighten to the shoe mount is practically the same width as the main section. It is very difficult (for me at least) to tighten it all the way. I have had a few instances where the monitor slid off and bounced off of the camera and was held on by the input cable. I also have trouble getting it to loosen due to the limited size of the ring. I do still use it and I am more careful with it now but wish it was designed a little better. Slightly bigger ring and it gets 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works I use it to mount a Zoom H1 audio recorder to my D5000. Not much to say about really, but it just does what it needs to do. The build quality is nice--all metal construction. The ball head is pretty nice--I like to move the recorder out of the way when not in use. If mounted on a DSLR shoe with a pop-up flash, it will prevent the flash from popping up all the way--at least, on my D5000--but the flash is actually usable, it pops up fairly enough. The price is pretty good--I was looking at another mount which was slightly more expensive and it was a straight mount, as in, it had no ball head, so no way of moving the recorder. I actually went with this for the price and didn't expect the ball head to be useful to me, so I got my money's worth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy and works great I use it to attach my Tascam DR 100 to my Canon T2I. It's very sturdy and adds a little bit of height, which is great because the further away the Tascam is from the lens, the less sound it picks up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect to mount a small camera over SLR With this little swivel shoe mount I can now put my Gopro camera on to of my D200 and film the action at the same time I take pictures !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A solid mount, worth the price There's not much I can say about this item. It does what you need it too. There are some other slightly cheaper mounts out there, but what you're really paying for here is security. Is it really worth risking your $300 sound recorder or your $500 light or monitor to save extra $ on a cheaper mount? This mount is incredibly sturdy, and locks up rock solid. Well worth the extra money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Monitor Mount This is the perfect monitor mount. There is not too much to say about it; it's design is simple yet effective. I currently have a 7 monitor mounted to it and it does not wobble nor is it top heavy. With a tightening knob on the side, it allows you to move s monitor into any position i.e. tilt/rotated. i suggest you buy this fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and simple to use I purchased this product for my DSLR so that I could attach my external microphone (Zoom H2). I need a hot shoe with a screw that could be adjusted in position. The ball-head makes it perfect for me to move my recorder around. The mount is made out of metal and durable plastic. I'm glad I bought it and shipping was fast!
