question

I have a sigma 105mm macro. Which device do i nee t attach this cannon macro Twin flash?
Asked by: Rodrigo R.
there is an adapter (macro twin lite adapter) for Canon 100 ef lens you may have to add some extra adapters to reach macro twin lite adapter. You can use a lens that does need an adapter and then you can attach the filter between the adapter and the lens but not between the flash and the adapter. And the filter needs front filter threads.

question

can i attach this to tokina 100 mm lense?
Asked by: layla a.
The filter threat size on the Tokina lens is 55mm. The thread size for the adapter for the flash is 58mm. So, a step-up filter adapter would be required (55 to 58mm).

question

I have a Canon 65 mm Macro MP-E lens. I know that generally the MT-24EX is a more flexible lighting option, but I'm wondering if there is there any advantage of the ring light RM-14EX over this flash on this particular lens? What adaptor would I need for the 65 mm lens?
Asked by: Michael M.
I too have a Canon MP-E 65mm Macro lens. Plus the MT-24EX which I find very useful because I can cast shadows wherever I want. The MR-14EX ring flash would eliminate all shadows. So it depends on what you want: shadows or no shadows? Your subject matter might influence this decision. Both the MT-24EX & the MR-14EX attach to the MP-E 65mm Macro without adapters. Also the MR-14EX will not accept any filters when used with the MP-E 65mm Macro; the MT-24 EX has a 58mm filter thread built in.

question

can this flash be used on a sony a7r in manual mode -- would the flash fire?
Asked by: Gerald
The connection is a standard flash connection. So if third party flashes work on your a7r you could probably use this in manual mode. If I were you I would take my a7r into B&H and try it. They have a demo you could test on your a7r and the guys there are quite helpful.

question

Is there anyway possible to use the Canon MT-24EX Macro Twin Lite Flash with the Canon EF 24-70mm L USM lens? The lens takes a 77mm filter. Is there anyone that makes an adapter?

Sorry. I thought you were asking about the Nikon system. Please ignore my response.

question

Is it possible to remove the flashes from the ring mount and use them as regular non-macro flashes? Would an additional flash mount be needed? Could this product be used as a dual purpose flash?
Asked by: Anonymous
The Canon MT-24EX is designed to be used as a macro flash. If you are looking for a compact Canon flash to be used as a normal flash unit, I advise you to take a look at the Canon 430 EX II: http://bhpho.to/1kxamid
