    Billingham AVEA 5 reviews

AVEA 5 Pouch (Black Canvas & Tan Leather Trim) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Also works as a nice day bag I bought this to attach to my Billingham Hadley Pro bag, but it also serves several other purposes quite nicely. It's large enough to fit two of my three pancake lenses (I have a Canon EF 40/2.8, a Voightlander 20/3.5, and a Voightlander 28/2.8), an extra battery, lens cleaning towel, and a 52mm cir pol filter. These elements make up my simple day bag, which I use when traveling. I can take my entire kit, then snap off this pouch, hook it to my belt, and be out all day. I also have a shoulder sling that I can snap this to also if I want to take just it on a trip by itself. Billingham make high quality products and expect to be using this for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice but pricey add-on I got this pouch so as to be able to carry more stuff in my Billingham Hadley Pro bag. The pouch is just about the ideal size for a tilt-head electronic flash or a medium telephoto zoom. Like other Billingham products, it's rugged, well-padded, nicely finished, and good-looking, and because it's made to be used with Billingham bags, it's perfectly integrated when snapped onto the side of the Hadley. It's pricey for such a simple item, but the quality is there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So good, I bought 2! I use these with the Billingham Hadley Pro bag, to give me customized options for carrying carried amounts of gear based on the anticipated need. These make the investment in the Hadley Pro even more worthwhile, because the added flexibility means you'll carry the bag more often. They are bigger than I'd expected, although perfect matches for the Hadley Pro. And they still can be attached to the Hadley Pro and keep it under the limit for under seat airline storage, if I so choose. One could be on the bag, and the other on my belt. Much better than a fanny pack and it matches the rest of my gear. I could just fit my Olympus OM-D E-M1 and 17mm prime lens in one, but it's probably better just for a body or lens. You could probably fit two MFT lenses, alone, in one AVEA 5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Quality The Avea 5 is beautifully made and designed, but in my opinion are too big for my Hadley Pro. Even one makes the Hadley Pro look odd. The Avea 5's on the Hadley pro make this beautiful bag look a bit of a monster. Having said that these in my opinion would look perfect on the Billingham digital bag. At least I hope so because I am going to buy the digital bag to attach the avea 5's onto. I will buy the avea 3's for my Hadley Pro. The Avea 5's may look fine on other bags I don't know, but this is my plan. I hope this helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice pouch for Fuji X100 or flash! for my Hadley pro, nice additional space for camera stuffs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Removable case for your Hadley Just the right size for an extra lens, small binoculars, an additional camera like a Leica D-LUX 4 or accessories. Remove it from the bag and carry it on your belt. Sewn of matching weatherproof materials and outstanding craftsmanship.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from IF your camera bag is getting too full add an Avea 5 this well made albeit expensive add 0n pouch is ideal way to increase the carrying capacity of your existing Billingham (or any) bag, will hold an M body or lens up to 135mm and can be a stand alone M case, with enough protection from the elements to attach externally to a backpack etc....if it was less expensive would rate it 5 stars

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expected High Quality - Big The method of attaching this to the Billingham bags is very simple and effective. When snapped into place, this pouch isn't going anywhere. If you are thinking of putting this on a Hadley Pro, understand it's going to affect the aesthetics of the bag. I already have the AVEA 3 on one side and placing this on the other really changes the appearance. It works and is convenient and all but some will find it too large. The large size is nice but it still won't neatly hold a Canon 580 or 600 flash or a mid size zoom.
