SANUS BF24-B1 overview

  • 1Description

The Sanus 24" MDF Construction Speaker Stand (Black, Pair) is part of the Basic Foundations line which are constructed of MDF (medium density fibercore), the same material that most of the finest speakers in the world use.

Although a bit more expensive than plywood and particle board, MDF offers superior strength and immunity from resonance. Force-fit floor spikes further minimize resonance and provide stability in carpeting. Sanus's special triangular isolation pads are placed on the top plate for speaker protection and acoustic isolation.

ABS Spikes
Rely on the sturdy ABS plastic spikes to hold your speaker stand in place on carpeted floors.
Aesthetically Pleasing
The powder coated black finish looks sharp in any room and this durable finish also resists chipping and flaking so your sleek entertainment center will look good for a long time.
MDF Construction
By using MDF material in the construction of this speaker stand Sanus not only created a durable and sturdy stand, they also ensured that less speaker vibration would be produced, meaning less distortion for listeners.
Hidden Wires
A concealed wire path runs up the back of the stand, keeping all wires hidden from view and protected from children and pets.
Neoprene Pads
The platform comes with neoprene pads which protect your speakers and prevent accidental slippage but also provide acoustic isolation for a vibration-less audio experience.

24" MDF Construction Speaker Stand (Black, Pair) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Piece of Junk Do not buy this product, I repeat DO NO BUY. The pre-drilled screw holes in the stands do not line up correctly with the base ending up cracking the stands. Complete piece of junk. IF the screw holes lined up then MAYBE the product would be ok, but I wouldn't pay $1.00 for this inferior quality product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, Low-Cost Speaker Stand I am very pleased with these stands - they are exactly as you would expect them to be: a good, sturdy, low-cost stand. I have my Polk RTi-6 speakers mounted on them and am quite happy. They arrived well-packaged (no scratches or dents) and assembled easily. The channel to hide speaker wire is easy to use and has plenty of room for two sets of wires (I have mine bi-wired to the amp). The stands aren't unattractive, but are basic MDF construction - so not as elegant as more expensive stands. Also, they are not weighted as more expensive units would be (allegedly for preserving sonic detail). But for my purposes, these stands work great. The only other thing I would point out is that the baseplate is fairly wide - good for stability, but make sure you measure the space where you intend to place them before you buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect solution We have now purcased four of these speaker stands. They are nice looking. We have a new home and don't want to hang things on the walls, we purchased two for the living room, liked them so much we bought two more for the den. For the price you cannot beat them. One caution, do not use drill driver, to much torque splits the wood. I put the first one together with a driver and it split the wood. not noticable, and did not alter the product in a negative way. The next ones I used hand tools and had no issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from do not buy this is an absolute waste of money and is not sturdy for my SM65 bookshelfs. You can make a better one yourself. It's also poor quality, not sturdy, the scrwe holes dont line up, instering the screw ripped the wood so theres a seam showing in the front.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great with me bookshelf speakers I was worried at first when I ordered these since so many of the reviews mention the wood splitting when screwing pieces together. Fortunately I never ran into that problem, and even when I was screwing the pieces in together, I never felt like they would split. I have the Pioneer SP-BS22-LR speakers on these stands. The only modification I had to do was to place the little foam triangles so that it would work with the tapering shape of the back of these speakers. I have the stands on some Berber carpet. I have the speaker wire coming from the back of the speakers and into a little slit in the back of the stand that lets you run the speaker wire down the length of the stand and out the bottom. The height of the stands makes it so that the speakers are right at ear level when I sit down, of course this depends on the rest of your setup. Overall I definitely recommend the stands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value Speaker stands were pretty easy to assemble and work great with my large bookshelf speakers. Construction seems to be plenty sturdy and visually are not super noticeable - which is great for how I'm using them (to support surround channel speakers). The wire management/concealment is nice too. Overall, stands work great for my use and the cost could not be beat - great value!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would definitely buy these stands again, and I just may! Great speaker stands for the price. Stylish and economical, they work great for supporting my Bose 301 speakers that I have. The B&H website was easy to navigate, checkout was fast, and I received the speakers in 3 business days. I am my re than satisfied with my purchase and the service by B&H. I recommend them for any gear purchases you make!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sanus BF24 As others have stated when putting on the base and top, it would be best to pre-drill holes for the screws. Mine split despite using a hand screwdriver.I am using a Onkyo HT-SR800 setup. The base is too light for these speakers.I voided the warranty and added a .25 steel plate to the base to keep my dog from knocking the stand over....
