Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Built Case Using the case to protect our board on road gigs. We needed something to keep it from harm with all the transport, set-ups and tear-downs. This case fills the bill and is the fifth Gator case I've purchased. They always work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality, well designed Reasonably rugged and thoughtfully designed, this case easily holds and transports my 20 channel mixing board and a handful of accessory items (sharpies and masking tape for labeling, that kind of thing). Two Velcro-affixed right angle pieces and a wedge-shaped pad secure the mixer corners and top, respectively, when the case is closed and in transit. The top cover can be removed when opened, making it at least theoretically possible to operate the board while still sitting in the bottom part of the case. I didn't find this particularly convenient or logistically advantageous, but it might work for you. In this (20x30) size, the case borders on unwieldy, but it's certainly a great deal better than trying to transport a mixing board in its shipping box, or really any other method I can think of. The case is rugged enough to withstand typical bumps and bruises, and it is sturdy enough to not be accidentally crushed in most realistic scenarios. I'm not sure I'd want to try running a truck over it, but short of that, it should keep the equipment within pretty well protected. The wheels are sturdy and smooth, and the extendable handle makes it easy to roll the case around. A handle on the long side allows you to carry the case up and down stairs, etc. (a label cautions against lifting the case using the extendable handle). Overall, it does what it designed to do quite well. It's not exactly cheap, but I think the quality of this case and the protection it affords your equipment is more than worth the cost.
