Impact LS-3S Reviews
Excellent low to the ground stand
Was needing something to better hold a light lower to the ground for photographing garments below the waist. Contacted B&H about the need and was recommended this item. Solid construction and goes from 24 off the ground to 36.
base works great, riser not so much
If you need a low-base stand for a background light, this product works well. If you need to use the riser, as well, I would look elsewhere. The metal spigot that attached the riser to the base stand is put on with a loose axel-type rivet. The whole riser pivots from the base so it swings up to 8 inches back and forth at the top.
Perfect for traveling
Very light, folds nicely and perfect for traveling
Nice and Low
These stands are nice and low to the ground, with the option of some pretty good height. I wish something with this same type of feet could go much higher, but I suppose the balance and stability would be off. All in all, really nice and compact, easy to haul stand.
Sturdy low profile stand that folds and packs away in a very small package. Great for packing along in my kit when I need a small light stand on location.
Great to put things low and the two socket head is very helpful for rigging lights to the side.
Get what you pay...
So far it's a decent stand, but you're not going to confuse it with a manfrotto stand. The price is also not what a manfrotto is, so you need to keep that in mind too. The plastic tightening knobs are really cheap, that's my biggest complaint. Otherwise, a functional stand that can travel and pack well for locations. Time will tell...
Folds up small
Folds up pretty small and easily slides into my rolling light stand bag. I use it to hold a backlight for company headshots.
