Photoflex 870406 Overview

The Photoflex Transpac Single Kit Case is a wheeled, 600 denier polyester case with double stitched seams, rigid walls and hard plastic corners, made to carry and protect a single lighting kit. A single lighting kit can consist of a power pack, two heads, light stands, reflectors, umbrellas and accessories. The case has rigid walls and hard plastic corners for greater gear protection. Strong, self-repairing, oversized zippers are meant to take a lot of punishment on location. There is a sewn-in interior divider for separating more fragile gear, and movable interior panels for custom configurations. There is a stuff compartment on the top flap for secure stowage of fabrics. The bag can be carried by a top carry handle, dual carry straps with overlapping grip, and inline-style wheels for easy transport.

How exactly close to 34" long is the interior. Any chance of fitting a semi-rigid soft box that folds down to 35" long inside?
Asked by: Anthony
As per the manufacturer, the interior lens is actually 34.5", so putting a softbox in that is 35" long may bend it slightly.

question

Anyone take this as checked luggage on an airline? Is it considered oversize?
Asked by: Brian W.
I have had this case for a little over a year. Just last week, the airline impaled my case in the upper corner, and did quite a bit of damage. I am in dispute with the airline over their negligence. Despite this unfortunate event, noting in my case was damaged. I can usually get what I need in the case for right under 50lbs. I do plan on getting a second case.
