The QR-HSGM is a Universal Hot-Swap battery mount. Utilizing the Gold Mount, battery-mounting system, the QR-HSGM can be attached to any portable device with an existing Gold Mount bracket. The "Hot-Swap" design allows the QR-HSGM to mount two fully charged *batteries simultaneously. Either battery can be changed-out for a fully-charged battery at any time.
The QR-HSGM offers true perpetual power, by allowing the operator to "swap-out" a battery with low available capacity, with a fully charged battery, without having to power-down the equipment.

*Any combination of Dionic 80, HyTRON 50 or Proformer batteries only

The Gold Mount system is designed to be extremely versatile and allows the user to easily grow with new cell technology.
Worldwide Acceptance
The Gold Mount is offered as original equipment (OEM) by virtually every major video manufacturer.
This exclusive Anton/Bauer feature allows a camera mounted light, wireless microphone, or other DC accessory to be powered from the camera battery.
This feature of the Gold Mount is standard with most new camcorders. A special power circuit in the Gold Mount mates with the VTR roll signal in the camera/camcorder allowing an Ultralight-2 to turn on/off automatically in sync with the recorder.
InterActive Viewfinder
The Gold Mount includes a special InterActive contact that transmits the fuel computer signal from a DIGITAL battery to the viewfinder "Fuel Gauge" included in many cameras/camcorders.
Hot Swap
Dual battery connections allow the user to hot swap a fresh battery while still operating equipment.

    QR-HOTSWAPGM Hot-Swap Battery Plate is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from For Hotswap and Counterweight Pleasantly surprised at the snugness of the fit when attaching to the primary A/B battery plate. Absolutely no play once seated. In fact you have to give it a bit of a bump with the heal of your hand to get it to engage. Consider this a feature. One edge of the back plate curls around 90 degrees and is setup to accept a BEC plate if you so choose. The unit aside from providing hotswap functionality allows you to create a decent counterweight with batteries rather than dead weight which is useful to both the ENG or Steadicam Operator. Like many things relating to camera rigs, the pricing is stratospheric but the utility is so good that it is worth the cost in the end. This is one of those bits.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A light, sturdy life-saver. I have several Hytron50 batteries that don't power my JVC HD110 for as long as I need them to, especially when I've got a light and mic to power. With the Hot-Swap I can get the power of two small AB batteries(hytron50, dionic90, etc.) and be able to swap one of them out when voltage gets low without having to power down or even stop recording. It's great to use to balance out the camera as well when using a matte box. The Hot-Swap also has the threaded holes for the wireless mic plate, or firestore mounting plate. One of the things I don't like about the Hot-Swap is that it doesn't translate the battery data to the camera. For example, my HD110 will show the remaining time, voltage or percentage when I've got the battery attached directly to the camera via the gold-plate adapter. When I attach the Hot-Swap adapter, I can only get voltage readout in my viewfinder, not percentage or time remaining. I believe the viewfinder readout is a feature that is only available on the JVC when an AB battery is detected. Also, this doesn't have a PowerTap connection on it, which isn't a big deal, but it would have been nice to have a second one. This is a great addition to any Anton Bauer battery collection if you have more than one small-style battery.
