    Pelican 1030 reviews

1030 Micro Case (Solid Red with Black Lining) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 36.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving this case Purchased the Pelican 1030 micro case to hold sunglasses or eyeglasses on scuba dive boats. I wanted something that would keep water and grit out while standing up to having something heavy dropped on it. This case fits the bill. Glasses fit in it nicely and it's definitely sturdy enough to stand up to some hard knocks. The solid color cases have a rubber lining on all sides, including the lid, that keeps contents safer. I also like that these cases come in different colors. It should help prevent my case from getting mixed with other black equipment on boats. I will probably buy one of these for my wife.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Size for my Garmin GPS! This case is a near perfect fit for my Garmin 60 CSX... the only reason I say near is because it press fits into the rubber tray, but can pop out into the lid. I just put a wrist band on top of the GPS and the problem was solved. The case itself is great, very durable, and the pressure valve allows the altimeter in my unit to still function. It may not be sumbersible, but the Garmin is, so no big deal if I go for an unexpected swim. I love the case so far.... light and the yellow is easy to find if you put it down somewhere!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mostly good ...The color of the case is really nice. It doesn't have a blue latch like in the photo, but rather a clear latch which I like a lot less. The hinge is really stiff, a lot more so than my other pelican case. It also sort of catches on something just before its shut so you really have to push down pretty hard to get the latch down. This can be problematic when something small gets in the way because its already so hard to press down that you could potentially smash something. I like the inner lining a lot. Its got sort of a notched design that is also squishy. The matieral is nice and grippy so that your items inside don't slide all over the place. Overall good but not as nice as my 3 year old pelican case. They do last forever

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prefect product, no complain Bought it for a Sony PCM-M10 recorder & accessories. I was looking for a robust case, to withstand moisture and to be waterproof since I will carry my recorder in places with moisture and where there is a risk to loose equipment in water. The case holds the Sony PCM-M10 recorder (fits quite tight, but it is ok) along with its remote control, a stereo headset, a Sony ECM-CS3 tie-clip microphone and 2 AA spare batteries for the recorder. Job accomplished. Additional the case has very good quality. I tested it 1 night in water at 1m depth - no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pelican Microcase I'm very happy with this product because it's perfect for my adrenal insufficiency syringe, It's heavy duty and waterproof, I would and have already recommended this product, ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx!!! It's almost as if this case was designed to keep my Garmin 60CSx dry when I kayak - it fits perfectly! I did have to make the following modifications: 1) I removed the Pelican label to better see the GPS screen (peel it off and use Goo Gone) and, 2) I added a pressure relief valve to avoid over pressuring the altimeter as the seal on these cases are very effective.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a Pelican Case Not much to say about Pelicans that hasn't been said before. I got this to hold my Tascam DR-05 digital recorder. It fits in there perfectly, width and length-wise. Depth-wise, the case is a little big, but I solved that by gluing a block of foam to the case lid. I do a lot of field recording, and all my gear goes in a backpack, and I use Pelicans to protect my recorders and prevent them from getting turned on. This case fits my needs perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pelican quality, but watch the latch! I bought this to protect my sunglasses. Like all Pelican cases, it is strong and well designed except for one item. The latch doesn't really work unless there is some outward pressure on the lid. In other words, you need to leave the rubber liner in the case, or add some internal foam to maintain some outward pressure. It will open itself up if you do not!
